Everytime I come into this store there is always different staff. Very rarely do I see the employees that serviced me the week before so that I can complain about their service. Anyways, GameStop is a horrible place that over prices their games and buys them back at a ridiculously low price. Even with your membership you barely get 25% of what you paid for. I had bought FIFA 19 for the Nintendo switch from a GameStop at Santa Monica, before purchasing I was told that the game did not come with a case since the case for the game was on display. Therefore admitting that the game was already opened by the employees but yet they sell it to me at full price. The employees put a sticker on the box to seal the cartridge in and call it "new". If it had been the other way around, GameStop would have bought the game back as used instead of new. But yet the store decides to open a game for display but yet sell it to customers at full price it's RIDICULOUS!!! When I tried to return it at this GameStop location they said they don't refund new games and that I could only receive store credit. When the employee saw that the box had been opened and the sticker had been removed they refused to give me store credit and argued that with out the sticker it could not be considered "new" but yet when I asked to receive a refund since it was considered a used game they said they could only buy it back at half price despite me paying full price for it at $65. GameStop is just looking to steal money, avoid their stores at all costs. Go to Walmart or just...
Read moreI visited GameStop on March 9th, even though I usually buy everything online. Since this location was next to the grocery store, I decided to check it out. While browsing, I found some great shirts and noticed discounted Lorcana cards, which caught my interest since I review cards.
Since the cards were locked behind a case, I asked for assistance. The two employees told me to wait, which I was fine with since I was the only customer in the store. However, instead of helping me, one employee was busy ringing up a personal purchase for the other. Then, one of them left through the back door, and I assumed the remaining employee would assist me. Instead, she continued doing something behind the counter.
I asked for help again, and she told me to wait once more. After another five minutes, I inquired about shirt sizes, to which she gave a brief response. Just as I was about to ask again for the cards, she pulled out her phone, started talking, and was laughing. At that point, I realized I was wasting my time and left.
I initially thought buying in-store would be more convenient than ordering online, but this experience proved otherwise. The employees didn’t even take the time to find out what I wanted to purchase. While it may not have been a big-ticket item, they had no idea what I was willing to spend. Moving forward, I’ll stick to buying online, where at least I can get...
Read moreI am very upset with the staff at this location. I was told from a female employee that a game i had came to buy was a certain amount including tax so I said I was going to buy it, but when I arrived at the cashier the young man gave me a different price plus I was waiting for 30 min. because the first cashier said I had to wait for someone else to ring me up. I waited all while others were being helped before me. It wasn't until the second cashier noticed that I was just standing at the first cashier, that they helped me. I refuse to ever purchase anything from this location again. I was so upset that I asked that they return the items I was going to trade...
