New World Buffet — Restaurant in Huntington Park

Came in here with my family for mothers days weekend, This has been the worst buffet experience I’ve ever had, I regret that we came here for my mother. To start off table that they assigned to us was dirty with food crumbs from previous customers, food wise was barely okay, maybe worst , I was holding my hunger all day to eat here so it might of been just bad, I got a serve of rice and rice was hard, shrimp was good I guess, the fried shrimp and honey walnut shrimp. My family didn’t enjoy the food much, made my brother’s girlfriend sick, she had a stomach ache after eating. Waitress assigned to us, she seemed upset , we felt like she was rushing us, picking up our plates while we weren’t done with them, funny story is that they allowed a homeless woman come in and grab food for herself and then was going around asking for money , she smelled terrible and the staff took their sweet time to kick her out, she was yelling as well, it was terrible. I saw a little girl also touching the “clean” plates playing with them and no staff said anything, see if area was dirty with food everywhere, it was it clean, the restaurant carpet looks so disgusting, I definitely do not reccomend this place at all, I will not be coming back here anymore, there is no order and that waitress was just plain rude. EVERYTHING IS DIRTY AND THEY SCAM YOU!! I had to clean my own utensils because they were covered in brown goo. The dirty plates were placed near the food. The lady serving us used the SAME GLOVES for picking up dirty plates, she also used the SAME GLOVES for bringing our water. The floors were dirty, our table was NOT WIPED DOWN before we sat. The area surrounding the food was also very dirty, some of the food even had MOLD on them (particularly the dessert). As for the SCAM part, we got at the buffet at 2:30pm and we thought we were getting charged for lunch price (which was $13.99). But at the end of our meal, we got charged the dinner price (around $25 per person). We were confused because dinner didnt start until 3:30 and we got at the buffet at 2:30. The lady who could barely speak any english told us that we grabbed dinner items and we kept trying to tell them we only got the lunch items (but she didnt believe us one bit). Plus, it was obvious which items were the dinner items because it had signs on them. I went to this Restaurant 2 days ago on Sunday 12/05/2021in the afternoon, it was exactly 5:30 pm. I checked in with the hostess at the door and We request a table for 2, my couple and I. So I served my food, included fried rice, and I was starting to eat, when I found out a Cockroach in my rice, it was very nasty, and I felt upset for that matter. So I call the waitress and I showed her the Cockroach and She told me, let me call my boss, She called and they said that I still have to pay for the food. I felt indignation about it, and I told her that I wasn't paying the food since I got there expecting to eat, I never expect to find my food dirty and infected with Cockroaches, She called the boss again and She had me waiting, after all She said that I could leave and that I don't need to pay.
