L.A. Crazy Crab is hands down one of the best dining experiences I have ever had, and I can confidently say it deserves every bit of its stellar reputation. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was incredibleâlively yet comfortable, with an inviting vibe that instantly set the tone for what would be an unforgettable meal. Unlike so many other restaurants where youâre left waiting around, the service here was flawless from start to finish. We were seated right away, and to my surprise, the time waited to be served or for our food to arrive was practically non-existent. Everything ran so smoothly, it felt like the staff anticipated our needs before we even had to ask.
One of the first things I noticed, and greatly appreciated, was that we were given gloves, aprons, and utensils immediately without even having to ask. That little detail alone spoke volumes about how attentive and well prepared the staff is to make sure you can enjoy your meal without any hassle. Our server was phenomenal, checking in on us multiple times throughout the meal, never in an intrusive way, but always making sure we had everything we needed and were having a great time.
The food itself was absolutely exquisite. Perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection, and served piping hot. Every bite was pure seafood heaven. The value-to-quantity ratio was outstanding, and it became very clear to me why this place is rated so highly. You get top-quality seafood in generous portions at a price that feels more than fair for the experience and service you receive.
To really put things in perspective, we had actually stopped at Crab N Spice in Carson on our first night in town. Let me just say, the difference was night and day. L.A. Crazy Crab completely outshines that experience in every way imaginable. better food, better service, better atmosphere, and an overall sense that everyone here genuinely cares about your dining experience.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the personal touch from the owner. In a world where restaurant owners rarely engage with customers, this owner not only came around to check on people once, but multiple times! He didnât just stop to say hello.. he actually had conversations with guests, making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. At one point, as I was using scissors to crack open my crab legs, he walked up with genuine concern and asked if we had been given crab crackers. I laughed and told him yes, but I just enjoyed doing things the hard way. My girlfriend chimed in, saying, âIâm not interested if thereâs no challenge.â That interaction alone made the night memorable. itâs rare these days to see an owner so hands-on and invested in making sure guests are having the best experience possible.
Between the amazing atmosphere, unmatched service, incredible food, and personal touch from the staff and owner, L.A. Crazy Crab has completely won me over. This is one of those rare restaurants that feels special in every way. itâs not just dinner, itâs an experience.
Because of everything we experienced, this will absolutely be a restaurant we will go out of our way to visit every single time we are in California. Itâs rare to find a place that truly exceeds expectations on every level, but L.A. Crazy Crab does exactly that. If youâre looking for phenomenal seafood, impeccable service, and a dining experience youâll be talking about long after you leave, this is the place to go. It has set the standard for what every seafood boil restaurant should strive to be, and I can honestly say no other restaurant experience has...
Read moreWe came here today last minute to celebrate my momâs birthday when I showed up we were greeted by everyone at the restaurant and I told one of the men working there that I knew it was last minute, but if there was anyway that we could have a table for 12!! right away He asked us if our whole party was here and I said no that they would be Here in about 20 minutes and he said donât worry weâll get the table ready for you come in when youâre ready, everybody Was so amazing. The food was unbelievable. We will definitely be coming back here. The owner came up to us after our lunch and introduced himself and was the nicest person ! everyone in our party loved that atmosphere loved the food. All the servers were amazing especially our server Yamilet I believe that was her name. Iâm so sorry if I butchered it if you are in the area, make sure to try this out because it is so great. The seafood was fresh. The spice level was definitely there if you like a little spice, but not too much. Make sure you go for the mild because we went for the medium and it was very spicy but still very delicious. They also have many options for people who donât like seafood so itâs good for the entire family, I cannot wait to come here again. I believe we came during happy hour and the fountain of beer was only $16 which is unheard of in Los Angeles. The pricing was very reasonable considering it is a seafood restaurant and they give you a lot of food...
Read moreThey actually donât cook up the best food. I came with my daughters and the wait time was 52mins. When they finally called for usâŚwe waited another 35mins for service. And then when service came, we waited another 40mins for food. I understand that it gets busy and there could be staff shortage. But thatâs not our problem. Customers shouldnât have to suffer and waste their money because restaurants decide to save money and under staff. I spoke with several servers because no one would claim to be our main server, and let them know how disappointed I was, given my daughter took me here for Mothers Day because of their high ratings. The funny thing was, the restaurant had empty tables and the servers were slowly taking their time working. We were tucked away in a corner and was forgotten about. The whole experience was unacceptable and I truly think this place is hype and not worth the money we spent given thereâs better places like The Crab Boiler or Crab Ave.
The Asian Owner, canât remember his name, only could apologize for my inconvenience. Wow. I told him we just wanna pay and get the heck out of there. He just agreed because greed baby. Not asking for free mealâŚjust common courtesy, professionalism and peace of mind..:none of which this place cared about. Please go spend $150 for terrible service and super mid-tasting food. Thank you for a Happy...
