I went to Home Depot to get circuit breaker for my home. They didn’t carry the one I needed because it was too old. So they referred me to Grover’s. I went to Grover’s in Boise and walked in. I quickly found the circuit breakers and proceeded to find the right one. I found it! …along with its price of $90.99!! REALLY?!? Are these guys serious?!?!?! I assumed it must be a mistake so I went to the service counter where I had to take a number even though there was nobody in line. Whatever. So I asked the lady there if she could double check the price and if they do price matching with competitors. She couldn’t answer either question, so she called a “salesman”. This guy arrived… and without greeting me, just gave me a dead stare and waited for me to do the talking. Now, I’ll remind my readers and followers that I have over 30 years of experience in working with the public and have trained many others on how to provide the very best customer service. Well, this guy either didn’t ever get any proper training or didn’t give a rat’s furry butt about his job, myself or my need for a breaker. Zero manners…and judging by his age, he was probably a manager ( which would explain his reason for not seeing it necessary to be polite). What a shame. So I left empty-handed and found what I needed on Amazon for $39.99. THAT’S LESS THAN HALF THEIR PRICE!!!! Hmmmm I see how they do business. I guess I look too young for my own good because this is not the first time that I’ve been taken for “some young buck who’s got nothing better to do than to waste someone else’s time”. (He was probably like three to five years older than me). Anyhow, I give this place a big thumbs down and recommend that everyone just stick with Home Depot or...
Read moreToday is a sad day!!! It was my last time in Grover's Thanks to Manager Steve!!! On 6/29/17 I purchased a irrigation pump for my sprinkler system. I bought the nicer one that was heavy duty with brass parts instead of the plastic like most of them have. At the end of last summer I blew out the sprinklers. I use my personal compressor that I set at 35 psi to avoid damaging my sprinkler heads. when doing it at the end of last summer, when the temperatures were no where close to freezing the metal blew out. So I looked in the manual. it told me it came with a 2 year warranty. I looked at my receipt, And I am still within that time frame. so today I went to Grover's where I had the privilege of meeting Manager Steve. he said that can only happen when it freezes and he will not honor the warranty. So I showed manager Steve that I blew it out when it was not freezing. Manager Steve continued to tell me that can only happen when it freezes. And then manager Steve tried telling me it split out because it sat there all Winter with water in it. That is funny because in October it had already been blown out. Manager Steve was getting really mad at me, and his face was turning bright red. Then manager Steve in a mean voice said "LOOK I WILL REPLACE THE OUTER CASE AND THEN WE ARE DONE!" Manager Steve then told the guy at the register to write me up just that part, and to document that there is absolutely no more warranty on anything whatsoever. How right you are manager Steve. we are done! I will never step foot in...
