If I could give this place negative stars I would.. absolutely terrible experience. I purchased their so called keratin treatment off of Groupon. I went in to get my hair treated which took about 3 1/2 hours of my wasted time. The keratin treatment they use requires you leave your hair unwashed for three days (I've done several keratin treatments and never have I ever encountered this) NOTE: after some research I found out they use COCO keratin, the cheapest keratin you can possibly buy. After three days of misery walking around as if I slapped grease all over my hair I finally washed my hair and you guessed it. ZERO RESULTS. I go back in to complain. They examined my hair later claiming its because my hair is "too thin" (they didn't mention it was "too thin" before starting the treatment) and "how straight did you want it" (not as "straight" and frizzy as it was prior to getting the treatment done that's how straight I wanted it) đ¤Śđťââď¸. Anyways after some complaining they said they would re-apply the treatment on my hair, sat me down in a chair and started slapping some stuff in my hair without telling me what it was or what they were until I asked them after I smelled an unfamiliar foul smell. Turns out the chemical was some sort of stronger more damaging straightening treatment and not the keratin. I stopped them mid application, had them wash my hair and got my money back (minus the tip I left her). They weren't very apologetic nor seemed like they cared. It's been 3 weeks since this incident and I can still smell whatever chemical they decided to put in my hair. My hair also is damanged and falling out more than usual. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They do not know what...
Read more1.5 stars, and Iâm being very generous here.
I had read some recent reviews about this place and decided to give this place a shot. I hadnât had a haircut in a while because Iâm very very wary of places who can actually handle curly hair. The price for a shampoo and a cut is $30, $40 for long hair, and $50 for âvery long hairâ. And apparently I fall under âvery longâ. No worries since I am used to being penalized for having long-ish hair (goes slightly below my shoulder blades. This does perplex me because they are going to chop it off anyways, and really, what is the difference between âlongâ and âvery longâ?). My issue here is that if Iâm paying $20 extra dollars than the average person to get a haircut (which I donât mind) I feel like the service should be on par. My stylist (who was sweet) spent a grand total of maybe 25 seconds shampooing and conditioning my hair. She didnât even touch my scalp. I have gotten better shampoo service at a Hair Cuttery. The haircut was average, nothing extraordinary there, but I was strictly satisfied. At the end when asked if I wanted any product in my hair, I asked for simple leave-in conditioner. My stylist may have given me 1.5 spritzs for my âvery longâ hair. That wasnât even enough to cover maybe 2 locks of hair. And she didnât even bother working it in. The over 15% tip I gave her now seems like it was way too much. I am actually preturbed. At first I thought I would maybe give them another try in the future because the people seemed sweet, but now I feel like I can take my hard earned money to a Hair Cuttery or a Great Clips and get...
Read moreWhen I walked in I had to greet and smile to the lady and she just told me to wait. I already had hair cut, I just wanted to add little layers to the end of my curly hair. She wanted me shut-up and dont ask any questions. Anyways when I ask the price she said it ranges between $30-$35, so I was like oh wow that pricy for just layering the ends, ... without even me finish my sentence she said with rude attitude and tone "excuse me, if you go to other places they charge you way more, this is nothing" she was looking right into my eyes as if she is trying to fight me. So I sat on the chair and when I open my hair she starts complaining and looking at my hair as if something wrong with it. She told me she is going to charge me extra for hair like that. Don't get me I don't really mind the price... I hate the fact how she gave this disgusting look to my hair, not every one has straight hair. Trust me I know its not easy to deal puffy and curly hair. Which is why I dont mine paying extra. Also, Hair Sense remember you live in a diverse country and your hair specialists should know that not everyone has same hair type. It just made me sad and wonder how you guys treat others based on...
