Went on Saturday just after noon. Parking was pretty full when we arrived and when we left. There are two different parking areas, one gravel lot and one paved lot. We parked in the paved lot so my mom could use her wheelchair. The paved lot is a bit challenging, spaces are narrow and people don't park well and I saw several cars parked so close that people could not access their vehicles. Next time I will try the gravel lot, it seemed to be spaced better. They do charge an entry fee of $1 per person or $3 per car. Not bad, but unexpected. I read over the website and did not see this entry fee info but maybe I missed it. The lady running the entrance was super nice and helpful. There are many, many booths to explore and lots of food vendors. I would say over 95% of the vendors and patrons are Mexican and 100% of the food vendors are Mexican. Delicious food options if you like Mexican food.
I was disappointed that there is almost no homemade goods. The majority of booths are swap meet style with a good amount of tools and toys. I was surprised to see several vendors reselling new items such as shoes, boots & clothes.
I will definitely check out this market again, especially...
Read moreGreat time this morning for a few hours as browsed around, found several treasures, got great Mexican food for lunch and loved THE WATCH GUY! HE WAS AWESOME! I love going and have been going to "The Gem Market" aka in the past from it being called "The Tulalip Swap Meet" for a few years now . I ike the changes of way more farmers market style vendors, more food vendors and more vendors with a variety of things things being sold. I like there are ones , quite a few selling new to practically new items but also some selling more garage sale types sprinkled throughout as gives a nice variety of vendors and it changes a bit every time so that's also a bonus to have new vendors. It's a fun, easy -going time, and thank goodness many have canopy and /or fans going to get some shade here and there as was a hot one today! GO CHECK OUT THE GEM MARKET, IT'S GREAT FUN AND GREAT TREASURES...
Read moreWent today for Mother’s Day to see craft vendors and very disappointed to only find 1. A young lady selling candles she makes. Other vendors had either yard sale items, random $1 booth, at least 2 selling boxes of tools that looked all damaged (the boxes). Two decent looking booths but not busy selling. Food tents that only take cash, one took Venmo and his was the nicest tent set up. Cooked burgers and hot dogs in front of you. Tables to sit at. Most vendors seemed to be selling swap meet T’s and handbags. Not the craft fair advertised. We wanted to check it out to possibly be future vendors at. This is not what we read or told it was. Oh and dogs aloud there. A pit bull and German shepherd got into fight with one another as we were looking for place to eat that took debit card. Left after this happened. Hope the owners can change the atmosphere there to what they are...
