While being a regular customer I have always enjoyed great food and service until yesterday. I called in an order which included 2 breakfasts (biscuits and gravy) for dinner. They called back 40 minutes later to tell me they no longer serve breakfast after 3pm. I asked the staff member to hold my order and not start cooking until I called back with other choices. When I called back 5 minutes later to tell them we were going elsewhere I was told" Oh no, the kitchen already started my order". I reminder her I had requested it to be held un til I called back and why did they do that? She responded "we were slow". Had I proceeded with my order half would have been cold. We have tried every 6 months only to be disappointed in one way or another. Fast forward to today-I called my order in, I was told it would be 25 mins. When my husband picked up he was told they didn't have the prawns I ordered. Was asked if they could get us something else. No thank you-too late now. Dinner was home within 8 mins of pick up only to find 2 meals cold (deep fried). Air fryer is my friend! I called to complain and was told they tried to call back- no record of call back. The female argued with me when I told her 1/2 my order was cold. Ceaser salad is not made with Romaine. Stroganoff tasted good but meat was tough. It's really ashame I just cannot give them any more chances 😥

Our first visit there ever... Never had been to the previous locations. The decor is beautiful and cozy and welcoming. There were several regulars and the staff was very friendly with them. We were seated by a very friendly hostess and even told her it was our first visit. The rest of the staff (drink server and waitress and waiter) did their jobs adequately but we seemed to be bothersome as they would spend several minutes chatting with their regulars. There was even a "it's not *my* table, or my problem" dispute over another table of non-regulars. As for the food, it was good, nothing to write home about it put this place on the map of "must-haves" when in Marysville. The omelet I had was tasteless and disappointing but everyone else's food was good, my favorite was the pancakes with strawberries and cream. It was very sweet but the best thing at the table by far. We will probably go back and give it another try at a different time of day.

Stopped in for lunch on our way through town. My husband had the prime rib open-faced sandwich which was delicious. The side salad was a bit wilted. I ordered the combo half sandwich and soup with pie. Priced very well at $15.50. The meatloaf sandwich was excellent and honestly, a full size would have been way too much for me. The creamy chicken soup however was lackluster with hardly any flavor. They were out of all berry pies so we chose the chocolate cream pie; itwas ok but had the texture of just too old chocolate pudding. Jessica, our waitress, took excellent care of us and was very attentive. The exterior and interior of the restaurant are beautiful though the bathrooms could use a cleaning and update. Overall, main dishes seem to be excellent but the additions/side plates could use some sprucing up.

I have been to this restaurant several times. I’ve always had an amazing experience. I know what I like to order, my kids enjoy the food, and we always have an amazing waitress. Today was a VERY bad experience and completely different from what we are used to. We came in with 8 people knowing we would have to sit at two tables (mind you we all live together, but knew we had to be separate). It was my nana’s 88th birthday today and this is where she wanted to go for lunch to celebrate with her family. When we walked in, the lady at the front was hesitant to try to seat us and basically tried to convince us to go somewhere else. After finally sitting us, she told us it would be at least 10 minutes before someone was able to help us. Fine, we get it, you’re short staff because of covid. We get it. As soon as the waitress came to take our order, we ordered our food and waited. Our waitress brings us our drinks, two of which were for our kids. They don’t have kids’ cups. Just regular cups with lids that don’t fit properly. Our 2 year old spilled his soda. No big deal. We start to pick it up and as we’re doing that, noticed the same lady that sat us just watching us try to clean it up. We had to actually ask her for help. She comes to the table, takes the cup from my 2 year old and tells him, “What are you doing? I’m not giving this back to you. I’m not coming over here every 5 minutes to clean this up.” Then takes the drink and walks away. I couldn’t believe it. I should have walked out right then and there, but we had been waiting for our food for 45 minutes by then and my nana was starving. I watched the entire time, the lady that was so rude to us, never helped our waitress with one thing. She brought one cup of coffee to a table, but other than that she just stood around while ONE waitress ran the show. Our waitress brought out food, drinks, cleaned tables, ran cards, etc. while this lady just walked around. I couldn’t believe it. When I asked our waitress who that was, she told me it was the owner. The OWNER is the one who was so rude to a TWO YEAR OLD. If you don’t want kids at your establishment, don’t advertise that you are family friendly. If you do, buy kid friendly cups. I can’t imagine my 2 year old is the only child to spill an adult cup with a lid that doesn’t work. I’m a small business owner myself as is my husband and we would NEVER treat paying customers like this. Especially given the pandemic. She should be thankful 8 people were even in there to begin with. We will NEVER come back here and will warn every single person we know to not eat here. I’m all for supporting small businesses, especially since we own 2. But I will not support such a terrible owner. Her poor employees are so over worked and she is SO lazy it blows my mind. My poor nana’s birthday lunch was ruined thanks to this owner, not to mention our food was cold by the time we got it which is pretty unacceptable since almost everything we ordered was fried. Maybe if the owner got off her butt and helped, customers would get their food when it’s warm since only one person is bringing it out. As you can see below, other customers had the same issue with their food and it’s most likely due to lack of help. Thanks for ruining an 88 year old woman’s birthday who just beat breast cancer. I hope you are VERY proud...

"LONG STORY" "Friday night Dec 15 2018" Visiting from montana to visit my aunt. She recommended my fiance and I go to the village bar to watch a live band and have a good time with her. We get there and the horrible experience started RIGHT away. No one seated us which I figured ok that's normal... Well we sit in a booth waiting and waiting for seriously 22 minutes. Not a server in site. So we get up and find a table closer to the stage. There were plates on it and not clean. But we sit and wait anyway. We waited 45 minutes before the only hardworking waiter in the whole place noticed our table. He sincerely apologized for the mess and wait. He brought us water but the place was so busy he had to go help other tables. We waited another 20 minutes before we caught the blonde curly haired waitress to ask for a menu.. this is where disaster struck. We finally ordered food after being here for an hour and a half. We knew they were busy so we were more patient than normal. This waitress would come and threw things down like we wasted her time and she was Soo irritated with having anyone being a customer. She rolled her eyes, I could literally almost hear her sigh over the bands music when we ordered. We got our food which was ok nothing special... Well then we Started ordering drinks with friends and the lady literally made us feel bad about it. The wait between each drink was around 30-35 minutes a piece. I didn't have any kind of buzz whatsoever. But the soccer mom's that I could clearly tell were the waitresses friends, were HAMMERED. The waitress even brought a guy a drink and he said "wow you know me so well." Because he didn't even order another drink yet!!!! She gave me my final and last drink before i officially said that's it we're leaving!!! I have never been more uncomfortable trying to have a fun time.. Just awful service. She Asked my fiance if he was driving "like no duh he drank water all night.' I almost said "trust me. It took you so long, buying the drinks wasn't even worth my money. I'm a lightweight and I didn't even come CLOSE to having a buzz. Ive been more buzzed off a coors light. this woman was just being so snobby. I will NOT be back. And its a shame, I was ready to spend a big chunk of change here to have some fun. I even left a ZERO dollar tip. Never in my life have I encountered such a miserable woman. The bald waiter was the ONLY nice and hardworking person that whole night. If he was my waiter I would have given him a 50% tip JUST FOR BRINGING OUR WATER. Get better waitresses that aren't so rude. Honestly a waste of a...

My friend and I were traveling through Marysville and stopped for lunch at the Village Taphouse & Grill. It was our first time so we thought we'd give it a try. The decor is very nice and relaxing, quite, open and pleasant. The staff was nice enough, though some not so personable. We ordered a couple of beers which set the stage of expectations because the beer actually tasted like beer. Only bad thing about the beer was that the bartender gave me a lot of head. Didn't give my buddy any heads whatsoever, just loads of head for me. I'm not partial to the frothy beer head foam and always feel a little cheated after the head subsides and I'm left with a quarter less beer than expected. Bottom line, if you like getting head from the bartender, this is the place for you. The food however, was another story completely. The portion sizes are actually quite generous and reasonably priced. We ordered hot buffalo wings and nachos (half chicken half beef). The hot wings had decent flavor, though not hot at all and the texture was like dried chicken jerky. We ordered blue cheese with the chicken wings thinking we were about to have a delicious sharing meal. As we began eating the chicken wings my buddy and I looked at each other and began to question whether or not the flavors were a bit off. "Somethings not right here" my buddy says. "I know right?" I say. All the flavors tasted at about 25% of their full expected flavor. We then dug into the nachos, same issue. Everything tasted bland and on top of that, the chips were soggy and rubbery. The nachos contained guacamole, sour cream, salsa, tomatoes, onions, black olives and cheese. Not sure if the cheese is actually real cheese as it was crusty with no flavor whatsoever. Everything tasted like the flavors had been boiled right out of the ingredients. It was bizarre to say the least. For a second there, we were questioning whether or not we had covid, as a couple of the symptoms is a loss of taste and smell. But then, we would take a drink if our beers, and they tasted just fine. Won't be dining at this location again but might stop in for a quick beer if we happen to be parked...
