Marysville Opera House — Attraction in Marysville

Multi-story event space with stage and full kitchen. Was surprised how large this place is. New chairs with clean cloth cushions. Plenty table options from cocktail, card, and full rounds. The adjacent cottage is perfect for getting ready for events and making a grand entrance. The balcony area gives the space an elegant and fun touch. Not so keen on the kitchen being on the bottom floor, so I would recommend hiring a serving staff so you don't have to haul hot dishes up the stairs. They really packed us in for the Valentine's event. I paid for VIP and didn't feel very VIP. Our table kept tipping over because of the legs, everything was self serve (at a Valentine's event, you want to be catered too, you want to be served. ESPECIALLY if you pay for VIP) They could have done more to make it enjoyable. The food wasn't that good. I would recommend to them to not use that caterer again. History preserved..The old Opera House was a shuttered derlict building in the 1980s. The city should be commended for acquiring this property for public use. I recently attended a non-profit fundraiser/gala for people who live with developmental disabilities in the old Opera House.
