This is a nice little park. The playground is designed for older kids ages 6+ which is posted. There is a structure with 3 slides and stairs that my 2 and 4 year olds can use but they get bored of it quickly. We stay about an hour before they're over it. It has great colors, there's low to no graffiti, never seen broken pieces or needles/drug paraphernalia, but the bathrooms are sketchy, though they usually have soap. Picnic tables are out of line of sight of the playground so that's not ideal. The swing set is a bit further away than I'd like from the playground and you also have to cross a path that leads from State street and the bus stop to get to them so I don't feel comfortable leaving my 7 year olds playing while taking the younger ones to swing. It also seems to "close for construction" randomly and I feel like there's never notice given about the closures. There was a ton of notice about the remodel and spray park. Also the ground gets VERY hot in the summer so kids should have shoes to go from the spray pad to the playground to prevent burning the bottoms of feet.
Spray pad is nice also, small and designed for younger kids. My littles can stay for hours and my bigs are over it in about 20 minutes. I wish it would expand and include some type of a waterfall feature with more interactive play stations so it could become like a spray park, but it's great for cooling down in the summer. Wear sunscreen as there is no shade nearby. However you can see the spray pad from the picnic tables, but those also do not provide shade.
There are nice grassy patches for running or popping up a canopy tent and having a nice gathering, playing soccer, tag, etc. I don't recall there being many divots. Overall we come a few times a months and it...
