Houston Gadget — Attraction in Jersey Village

We've used this shop for well over 10 years. First couple of car alarms, no problem. About a year & a half ago we had a DVD player & alarm installed in 1 vehicle and a DVD player & back up camera installed in a 2nd vehicle, no problems at first. Just after a year, that's when things went real bad. The back up camera on the second vehicle started blinking on & off & the speakers are going in & out. They want $45 to diagnose the issue. On the other car, just after the 1 year warranty expired (2 weeks beyond) the siren stopped working.... $40 to replace it. Now 6 months later.. driving on the freeway, doors unlock & steering column starts smoking. Per my mechanic, the alarm shorted out & burned wires in the steering column. Shop says there's no problem with the alarm, yet they don't recommended installing it back in the vehicle... sounds suspicious to me. Management says if I can find the receipt, they'll check it out. No thanks! Spent $85 for my mechanic to rewire everything... I don't want them to touch my vehicle. All I can say is this place has gone down the drain in the last few years. Not sure if it's them selling crappy products, poor workmanship, or poor management. Maybe a combination of all of the above. But they don't stand behind their products or work like they used to. Gotta find a new...

So I came to get a GPS tracker VIPER for my truck. It has 3 features, GPS tracker, smart start, locking and unlocking. They did not install it fully, only the GPS tracker. I went back and told them not all the functions work and they said to install it fully it would be at additional cost. I asked them to give me a refund and he said no refunds! I argued with him for 20min and he decided to charge me $100 extra and then said it would only be $40 extra for labor. The guy started to work on my truck and had no tools. I then opened my tool box so he could use my tools. As soon as I went back into the waiting area I see him rush In to get paper towels because he spilled something in my truck..... Honestly this is the worst experience ever. I will never come here again. I drove 30min here for the great deal they offered and ended up paying more than what other professional shops charged The owner is the problem who is not upfront about his prices. The worker who installs the systems...

5.0 star rating 7/14/2016 First to Review I went int o get the glass lens and headphone jack on my Galaxy Note 2 fixed and they did an AMAZING job. I was very scared that they would use a cheap 43 Ebay screen and I would get back a botched phone. But it has been 3 hours since I picked it up an no issues so far. If I have issues that aren't y fault I will come back and update.

Walking in the store, the head guy at the counter is pretty chill and just knowledgeable. I paid $45 for the glass and $35 for the headphone jack replacement. I knew hat was way overpriced at least for the headphones but I just went wit it. I'm sure if you really want to you can haggle it down.

I was told my phone would be ready in 24 but it ended up being 48 which I guess is fine.

I recommend this place if your in the area. Much cheaper than other places. I read SO many reviews for places because my phone is very important to me so I was nervous, but...
