If I could rate higher than a 5 â, I would! We actually booked this last minute, which limited our options. My husband and I booked the final two seats for the "snorkel and dolphin adventure". We're both beyond grateful for the experience we walked away WITH.
We arrived a little earlier than asked so we had plenty of time to check it out. Plenty of lounge chairs and spaces to sit down while waiting, a swing for the younger crew and a TON of seashells to look at. If you head out to the dock, you can walk over to the tide and pick up all these little hermit crabs.
Once our catamaran was ready (right on time), Captain I-T, Chase greeted us with the best energy, he gave us the run-down and answered questions thrown his way. Upon finding our spots and getting situated, we met Captain Clay, who was beyond friendly and lastly, Christine who was the best bartender, fake tattoo artist and everything in between. Our ride started with some fun on the waves, listening to music while watching the dolphins and anchoring in at Shell Island đď¸ Before arriving, we all had been given a snorkel and the option of a life jacket.
The crew gave us the option to take our drinks out in the ocean. Any little sea creatures you find out there, are collected at the catamaran for pictures but released back into the ocean once you sail away.
You will not miss any sand dollars out there! Do keep in mind: keep them flipped to the fuzzy side, otherwise they die :( If white, they're already dead.
Sea urchins, crabs, starfish, clams and mollusk is what our crew collected and returned back to its habitat.
The water was gorgeous and transparent which is the best when it comes to snorkeling.
On the ride back, the crew busted out limbo, dolphin tattoos and a ton of us (all age gaps) were singing, dancing, making friendships and thoroughly enjoying ourselves.
This was my husband's first snorkeling experience + the ultimate highlight of our PCB vacation.
Thank you all for instilling such a beautiful...
Read moreIf youâre looking for a boat ride with scenery of water and some dolphins, or you have your 80 year old grandpa with you- book this. Sign posted saying no outside food or drinks. But didnât see any available water without paying. Youâre on the boat for about 3 hours, so sneak your water on board. They do have a bar- bring money or credit cards. There are no flippers or noodles. Flippers make it easier to swim, and noodles make your spouse unhappy you didnât drown (kidding! Right? Eh). Noodles can help kiddos float and not worry about staying afloat and the kiddos can be mindful and enjoy the surroundings. There are no shells or cool trinkets or gadgets and gizmos of plenty. The location is nice, however, there is so much traffic. Boats and Jet skis everywhere. Watch your babies and yourself. Be careful where you walk, anchors in the sand dome the multiple other boats. If you enjoy seeing fish and watching underwater living, you have to go by the rocks (which is advised against by the crew considering it is a rocky situation) In addition, one must battle with the fishermen boss to advance toward the next level. Be careful they donât catch you with their fishing hooks. Considering the price point, itâs not a bad tour. BUT if you are a scuba diver, you will be bored. If you want to see bait fish, you will be ecstatic.
If you really want to snorkel and see the wildlife- Bring your own: Goggles ( the goggles did not have a great suction- water came in which causes you to stop and have to...
