Lashes Nails & Spa — Attraction in Venice

Laura is the name of the woman who I got my pedicure by at Lashes Nail and Spa. I was taken to the salon by one of my closest friends. She knows that because of having had childhood scoliosis, I now have a spine that is stabilized and kept entirely straight with titanium rods and screws. It has left me with the inability to bend except at my waste. That in turn makes me unable to reach my own feet and take care of keeping them neatly trimmed and polished. I am extremely particular about having someone do my nails (both hands and feet!). When I lived up north, I went to the same nail tech for over 25 years. I moved to Florida when Fran had retired (coincidentally occurred at the same time, I didn’t find someone who I felt did a good job on a consistent basis. Now I have met Laura and I no believe that she is the answer to my search! She was polite, listened to my special needs and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I know that it is hard to trust that when you go to a nail salon, because you need them to make sure the instruments are sanitized and not used from one client to the next. I am so happy that my friend suggested I go with her to get a pedicure and took me to Lashes Nail & Spa. I cannot say enough good things about the pedicure that Laura gave me. She took care to ensure that I was comfortable sitting in the chair before she even started to work. She asked if I had any special needs and I was able to explain that I suffer from chronic pain and it includes my lower legs and feet. In fact in the past I have had nail techs who didn’t pay attention to what I said and ended up causing me more pain. Believe me, when you live with chronic pain, the last thing you need is for someone to do something to increase your discomfort. I was so happy that Laura did a thorough but gentle pedicure. She somehow even managed to give my legs a light massage so that the felt better after her work than they had since 8 got sick. Laura is someone who I am willing to recommend because I believe that she is unlike many of the other people in her line of work. Laura takes pride in her work. Too often people who work in the service industry do not care much about the job that they do. They are there to do their job and the faster they work, the more clients they can do, which equals more money in their pocket. Laura is not like that. She genuinely enjoys her job. She likes making people feel good. She knows that the people coming to her enjoy being pampered when they go to a nail salon and spa. Laura is gentle but still does a thorough job. She does not over file your nails and if you select a gel polish for your pedicure, you will see that she does such a good job that even after two weeks, my toes look almost as good as the day I was there. I don't even know where to start off with this nail salon. They were truly amazing and has change my perception of nail salons going forward. The customer service was very personable and they got to know me on a first name basis. The staff was courteous and offered me a glass of wine which I gladly accepted.

The salon is beautiful, clean, and very well decorated and thought out.

The quality of my nails are beautiful. Hannah took her time with me and made sure I got the correct shape that I wanted and also was very patient when I was so undersize of about the colors that I wanted.

It has been a very long time since I have found a nail salon that I truly love and I can honestly say that this is now my top favorite nail salon to go to.

I cannot wait to bring my friends and family to share the experience with me next time. I also forgot to mention that the pedicure chairs that they use are exceptional. It is like the Tesla of chairs LOL.

Sad to say I got the lashes and was not pleased. There were gobs of black glue and clear glue left stuck in my lashes. I asked for a natural look and what I came away with was anything but natural. But the worst part is that the technician scratched the inside of my bottom eyelid with the white paper that was supposed to be placed under my eye and now I have two swollen and infected eyes for which I will need to see a doctor.
