Discovered this place about 6 years ago through a friend, been hooked ever since. I make a point of going in for a few hours at least once every few months, even if I don't plan on shopping.
You see, the charm of this store is the people. When you go in, you aren't just looking at mass produced jewellry, or reproduction art pieces, or dime a dozen gas station blades. My wedding ring came from this store. The jasper honing stone that keeps my knives sharp for work came from there. I have tapestries featuring original art of the owner covering my walls, t-shirts i wear almost every day, a beautiful set of carved drinking horns that were used for my wedding, and so much more. I go in not just for the shiny rocks or pretty blades, or hand carved statues of deities, but for the wealth of knowledge and history that goes along with them. Knives forged the same way as before the dark ages, pieces of jewellry literally older than Jesus, and a history lesson from a man that has traveled the world with every visit. I have brought countless friends and family here not just because I want them to buy something from a super cool local business that has been going for 50 years or more, but because I want as many people as I can to share in this wealth of knowledge and history and meet these amazing people keeping old trades and history alive.
Stop in, look around, and treat yourself to an adventure. You won't be...
Read moreUpdating my review a few years later. 🤩 This is one of my favorite places to visit! From the first day I went in I was greeted like family and have made true friendships with the people who work and visit here. They have the most incredible antiques, a glorious knife selection, including large weapons like swords, axes, and more. There's a lot of rare stones/crystals, clothing, tarot, books, jewelry, hills silver, horn goblets and so much more. It looks like a small store but it has 7 stores worth of stuff in there! Plan to spend some time exploring and chatting especially if you're a chatter box like I am. đź¤
Stella and Thor and Kathy are so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We spent a good 3 hours in there and didn't even see everything on display. If you don't see it, ask, because they probably have it in the back. ;) There's crystals, animal pelts, antiques, knives, antique knives, jewelry, herbs and more. If you are part of the metaphysical community and haven't been here yet, you are missing out. I know I have been. We will definitely...
Read moreI’ve wandered through my fair share of shops like this — roadside stands, back-alley markets, little places off the beaten path, and more big city storefronts than I care to count, a lot of them blur together, this shop stands out.
It has all the right ingredients: quality blades and axes, well-made jewelry, oddities and trinkets for every kind of collector, books, artifacts, decor, cards, pouches for this and that, and shiny stones and gems aplenty, they have more than enough to keep you browsing.
Something that really sets a place apart for me is the people running it. The folks here carry that rare mix of knowledge without arrogance, friendliness without force. They seem like they want to be here — and in a world full of rushed sales and hollow greetings, that matters.
If you like places with character, where the wares feel chosen rather than stocked — this is worth your time. I’ll definitely be back.
I'll probably contribute some...
