DO NOT LET CURTIS INTO YOUR HOUSE. We had Mr. Sparky out on 9/16 to replace a chandelier. Curtis sabotaged our electrical panel, quoted $4k to fix it, told us we need all new smoke detectors and did not replace the chandelier.
The wire Curtis pulled out of the breaker was one of two 120v wires feeding our 240v HVAC unit which caused low power to go to the breaker on the outside of the house. Curtis then told us the breakers are over 10 years old and in need of replacement citing the lack of power at the Air Handler as an example. The house warmed immediately after he left.
We called out One Hour Air and the technician told us we had an electrical problem. When he traced the power from the outside breaker, it was reading 120v on one connection and 34v on the other. This means the problem was between the outside breaker and the panel. He shut off the breaker to the HVAC unit and said he put in a ticket with Mr. Sparky to fix it.
When the cover was taken off the panel, what Curtis had done was revealed. See pictures attached of one of the 120v wire pulled out of the 30 amp breaker.
We had to pay trip charges for each of these visits, deal with these technicians and live in our house without AC while taking the next morning off to wait on Mr. Sparky to send a new electrician to fix it.
And just to add insult to injury, Curtis did not put on booties in the house, used our bathroom then set up at our kitchen table to work where he dragged his boots on our kitchen stool scraping the paint off and left his soiled napkins from the bathroom on the table.
Mr. Sparky, we’re looking to you to make this right. He was here on 9/16 from 11:20am to 12:45pm.
It's been 7 days and the the technicians that came out were wonderful. However, we still have not heard from anybody at Mr. Sparky about Curtis' violation...
Read moreHere’s my experience with Mr Sparky as a customer. My spare bedroom and bathroom, lost electrical power in outlets and light fixtures in the master bath and the other side of the wall of the bathroom in the master bedroom. It was a technician from Mr Sparky who came into diagnose the issue and found it was a wire out in the wall that they would need to pull the wire and replace it with the new one. He provided an invoice. I was impressed with the technician so I hired Mr Sparky the following week to do the job. It was scheduled from 8 to 12 by 11 45 when I heard from nobody three different dispatch agents could not provide me information but that they changed the appointment to 11 to 2. I was very disappointed not to be informed or explained why this even happened. Jamie dispatcher I finally got who took over and was very helpful and got management involved and was able to dispatch one of the best technicians Dakota who he was mentoring a student Lois who arrived around 3 PM and by 7 was able to diagnose the correct issue which was not to tear through my walls it was an outage in an outlet thank goodness for Dakota to diagnose the actual issue and fix the problem. He turned me into a very happy customer for his support and professionalism. Although Mr Sparky as a company is awful and has no management or customer service or booking expertise they have one of the best technicians and a student who is being mentored by the best expert in electrical work Dakota and that’s about it. Good technicians,...
Read moreVery Highly Recommended. Updated. Daylen came out 5/15 to verify that we have a #6 wire running from the breaker to the new heater. We had a new Daikin HVAC system installed one year ago. During the S/A tuneup two weeks ago, the tech saw that the installers attached the wrong wire to the new heating unit. Daylen is a pro!
Our Goodman AC Condenser started tripping the breaker twice in Nov and once 3/5. Daylen came to the rescue 3/6. Since the breakers were 30 years old, we decided to replace ALL of the circuit breakers. Of course we joined the Comfort Club. Outstanding service!
As we were installing our new Daikin FIT system, we wanted an expert to ensure we had the proper amps for the air handler and condenser. We reached out to the call center 5/6, and an extraordinary superstar Angela, realizing the importance of an installation currently in progress, was an integral part of the solution.
Chris arrived just two hours later, and after checking the system requirements and also double checking the wiring capacity and then conferring with Mgr Ryan (great teamwork), installed the proper breakers. We took his suggestion to also install a whole house surge protector (never knew this was even available) as Tampa is the lightning capital of North America. Again, outstanding!
In these modern times, outstanding service is virtually nonexistent. In our opinion, the only other companies in Mister Sparky’s league are Verizon Wireless and Apple. No one else...
