Peace Massage — Attraction in Woodstock

I am very disappointed with the level of professionalism here at Peace Massage. This was my first time at this Peace Massage. My bestie and I went here earlier today, as she and her mom go here all the time, they had nothing but amazing things to say until this point. When we got there and the lady at the front desk was nice and professional and asked us what essential oil we wanted for our massage. We smelt them and told her we wanted Eucalyptus. When my friend and I got into the room things were fine. Shortly after the massages started, we heard both of the ladies laughing and speaking for majority of the 60 minute massage. During my massage, my lady Sarah, asked me what oil I preferred and I said “Eucalyptus” based on what we told the lady at the front desk. She told me other oils, coconut and lavender. I had said Eucalyptus again and she told me no and stated the coconut and lavender again. I said coconut was good, but was confused because we had chose a different one before. We never got the oil we preferred. Once the massage was over, the ladies who gave us our massages were at the front desk. We were getting out our cash, and we saw online the full body massage price was $70. They then told us it was $80, which we didn’t think was a problem. My friend asked if Sarah could split a $20 into $5 bills, and Sarah shook her head and said no. I gave Sarah, $83 in cash which was all I had assuming the price was $70. My friend gave Sarah $100. There was $23 extra dollars for them to split the tip, and my friend told them there was $23 so they could split. Sarah counted my money I gave her, the $83, then looks at me and says “Only $3 tip?” I then look at my friend in disbelief. We then try to explain to them and they weren’t understanding. So I tell Sarah I will tip extra on my card and she just gives me a blank stare. I ended up tipping her on my card. Sarah and the other lady made us feel so uncomfortable and kept asking us if our massage was good while pushing us to tip more money based on our liking. I called my bank to see what was charged on my card, and they said I was charged $10 more than what I tipped there. Highly unprofessional and disrespectful. Super disapointed with my visit here today. Although the massage was fine, when going to checkout “Sarah” was very rude. We did a 1 hour massage for 2 people. It use to be $70 each but prices have apparently raised to $80 each, no worries on that end. However, when checking out, I paid with cash giving $183 total (this would’ve been an $11.5 tip for each woman which is just about 15%), sarah was very rude and pressured my friend into tipping more on her card, resulting in a $21 tip for each woman. I am not upset about the money, I am upset about the last minute price change along with the unprofessionalism from sarah. The kicker of it all was my friend checked her bank statement and was charged $30 extra for the tip on her card, when she told Sarah $20 extra. They would also not break a bill for me. So all in all, for something that should have been $183 ish with tip, turned out to be $203. Also was promised the eucalyptus oil when asked at the front and was only given coconut oil during the service.

I’ve been coming here for over a year and was excited to share this experience with my friend whom is on vacation here, but left here with a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be returning as they are very sneaky, I do not recommend here! It use to be the best affordable place in town but now you may as well go to a higher end spa after all the price changes and uncomfortableness they...

What a fantastic first visit my daughter and I had at at Peace Massage in Woodstock! Our appointments were at 10 am and when we arrived they were ready for us. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the rooms were clean.

Here's what was different: most of my massages have been relaxing and involved lots of lotions and oil. They have always tried to sell me other things. This one was therapeutic and personalized. All of their associates are trained for this. If you want relaxing, they do that. Mine was customized to my needs and he was very communicative and responsive. I felt like this massage actually did something for my muscles and I will feel better overall. Productive instead of simply relaxing.

When we went to check out, the woman remembered we were there for my daughter's birthday and offered to share some special customary cake with us to celebrate. Absolutely lovely.
