DONT COME HERE! So I came to this movie theatre for the first time today, with my partner and parents to see the new Beetlejuice movie.. I’m a huge Harkins Theatre fan and always go there, but decided to try something new for a change. (Huge mistake) First impressions upon entering the building was that it was extremely dirty with food allll over the floors. I looked around for an usher to check our tickets and saw no one. Finally we decided to just walk to the food counter to show our tickets to someone (I got the tickets online) and to be directed to our theatre. All employees working there seemed to be high schoolers, aside from the manager who was extremely dry and showed no interest in us being there, with no greeting or smile. We were finally given our printed tickets, and headed to the theatre. At first glance in the slightly dimmed theatre, it appeared clean, until we went to sit in our seats and got a closer look. Our seats were literally covered in crumbs, arm rests had sticky soda and nacho cheese spots all over, and upon setting my drink in the cup holder, I felt something inside and went to took my drink out, revealing a cup holder full of liquid and more food crumbs.. disgusting. I sat in irritation for a few minutes before deciding to go speak to the manager. I am a pretty quiet person, and don’t typically ever initiate conversation regarding issues at restaurants etc… but this was just disgusting. I was so disappointed bc I spent $50 on these tickets for 4 of us, to receive awful service, and to sit in a nasty chair. Upon manager approaching me to ask what was wrong, I said there is food all over mine and my families chairs and she continued to grab a used/stained rag from the food counter, and began walking to the theatre I was in. She walked to the aisle I sat in and began “cleaning” my chair/arm rest. She barely wiped anything off, and began walking away when at this point I was pissed. I said “not really clean but okay..” as there was still cheese sauce all over the arm rest. She comes back over and smartly responds “okay so where else do you need me to clean”. She then scrubbed for another second and walked off. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a movies theatre, and I’ve always had good experiences everywhere I’ve gone. Lastly, the Exit sign shined a huge red light across the screen throughout the entire duration of the movie…. One of which I have seen multiple people leave reviews on for months and even years, that no one has yet to fix.. shows the lack of effort and poor management here. I would leave 0 stars if I could. Do not come and waste your time or...
Read moreWhen this theater opened it was the bees-knees. Leather seats, plenty of room and a great renovation of a really run down and semi abandoned theater. I'm honestly disappointed to say that all that money and effort that went in to renovate this place was apparently a one time deal. The theater is not being maintained and it's starting to get gross and pretty trashy. Let's start with the seats. You can always tell the best and most popular seats in each theater because the seats have huge cracks and rip wears in the seats. I figured this was just the normal wear and tear as it's a busy place, but have now realized a year later that thus isn't being addressed. I'm not sure if they are waiting until a certain percentage of the seats need replacement or what, but it's really crummy. So let us now swing by the womens bathroom, where without going into lots of detail, I will mention that the wee trash receptacles in between the stalls are looking outright scary. Not just incredibly unclean, but rusting and huge paint chips out etc. A few of the toilet seats need replacing too, but seeinf what passses in the theater, that's probably on the very far end of being a concern. Service is usually somewhere between fine to great. We've all pretty much adjusted to the assigned seating etc. We go out of our way to attend this theater, passing the other main one in the area, and that may stop I'm sad to say. This WAS the theater to go to, but management and whom ever else are showing that they aren't invested. It's really a shame. I'll include some pics next...

Long Review: Just moved to Prescott. We had a large group of friends visiting from Flagstaff, so we took everyone to see the new X-Men movie. We followed advice and got there early (about 45 mins) to get seats for everyone.
The seats are a luxury. Plush, squishy and leather with electric reclining. What a great contrast to Harkins where you can't get comfortable and have to climb over everyone to get out to the lobby. Add the fact that they have a bar. Wine and beer with my movie? Heck yes. That would be enough alone, but the food prices are extremely reasonable. Hotdogs were a dollar each.
The final star is for great service. I had a spectacular conversation with the bartender and every employee I interacted with. Spectacular. My Flagstaff friends say they are now ruined for movies. I had been avoiding them in Flagstaff because I hated Harkins. With my recent move to Prescott though, I will be returning to the Picture Show frequently.
My friends wanted to add to this: a number of them said they rarely buy concessions at the movies. Because of the spectacular experience though, they gladly loaded up on popcorn,...
