Prescott’s #1 Outstanding Sushi Bar... Hand’s down.. This modern authentic sushi bar was full of life as I took my wife on a date last night. Definitely recommend anyone that goes in a group of 1-3 that you sit at the sushi bar so that you can get the full experience watching the sushi chefs create the sushi, prepare the fresh fish, prepare the rice, and the friendly, hospitable interaction that they have with each of their guests. For Foodies By Foodies (FFBF) highly recommends this restaurant for any foodie living in or visiting Prescott. #1 Appetizers - Gyoza - FFBF RATING - 5/5 Their Gyoza (Japanese version of potstickers) were delicious. The dipping sauce was sweet and tangy. They weren’t too crispy and melted in our mouths. Made with pork inside, these were great! #2 Samurai Sushi Roll - FFBF RATING - 5/5 If you don’t read anything else in this review, you have to try the Samurai Sushi Roll! This flavor filled sushi roll was probably one of the best sushi rolls I have ever had. Inside the roll of rice, there is Spicy tuna that absolutely will melt in your mouth. So fresh! On top, there is a baked hot and spicy sauce mixed with shrimp and green onion that is indescribable (but I will do my best. Lol) This spicy, tangy sauce had a very rich flavor to it like nothing I’ve ever tasted. It was very unique. This roll was the smallest roll and only came with 8 pieces, but was so rich, you couldn’t probably eat too many more pieces of it. #3 Hawaiian Sushi Roll - FFBF RATING - 5/5 Before we got the Samurai Sushi Roll, my wife said that the Hawaiian was her favorite sushi roll she had ever had. This beautiful sushi creation has spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and imitation crab inside it. On top, it has salmon, avocado, spicy mayo sauce, panko and eel sauce. The presentation was outstanding and it was the largest roll out of all the ones we tried and came with 10 pieces. Very fresh and delicious tasting. The fresh fish is not as fishy as some places I’ve had before and was very clean. #4 Las Vegas Sushi Roll - FFBF RATING - 5/5 This was the first roll that came out and was very tasteful. The presentation was amazing! This 10 piece sushi roll is deep-fried. Inside of it, it had flavorful salmon and cream cheese. On top of the deep fried sushi roll, a nice layer of spicy mayo and eel sauce is spread across. #5 Customer Service - FFBF RATING - 5/5 Their host, servers, and sushi chefs all had outstanding, exceptional customer service. They were extremely friendly, hospitable, helpful in determining what to order, and professional while serving us very quickly. #6 Cleanliness - FFBF RATING - 4/5 Overall, the kitchen, the dining area and sushi bar were very clean. The only reason we’re rating this a 4/5 is because we saw a couple napkins on the floor and on the side of the sushi bar looks like someone had been there a while before us and nobody had cleaned up yet. Other than that, the place was spotless and had a very modern, clean feel to it. Overall, we had a great experience and never would have tried the Samurai Sushi Roll if we hadn’t moved from our table to the sushi bar. The sushi chef talked with us and highly recommended the Samurai roll to us. He said that was his favorite and we agree! For Foodies By Foodies highly recommends that you try out this newly renovated, high class, modern sushi bar that locally owned and operated for more than 26 years!

Well, not the best experience for our first time, and not sure we'll be back. The gentleman at the door who adjusted our bill (I'll explain) claimed it was an overly busy night.. Just a little hard to grasp on a nonholiday or special weekend to be so short staffed an provide fairly poor service; The seemingly half filled order of Edamame came after the main Entree(which was cold). The sushi ordered was wrong and took over 15 minutes to back out corrected. The Cali rolls weren't the best I've had, but they were acceptable, same with the shrimp tempura roll I had made up, the girl friend enjoyed the Cali roll with soy paper. The waitress was clearly overwhelmed by the amount of tables and seemingly tried to remove the Edamame from our bill and someone overrode her and added it back. So we had to explain all the poor service to the younger, mid 20s guys to have him remove it AGAIN. Also sitting outside, the table was quite dirty, soy sauce bottles on the table were as well, and suprisingly enough after asking for the low sodium it just came off another person's table, who was just using it and right to mine.. Some better cleanliness would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Especially in today's world folks, I'm not a clean freak, but come on, a quick wipe down doesn't take long, and stops the spread of germs, just saying.. Staff does not wear masks or require them either, as posted.

Went to Fujiyama yesterday with the recommendation of a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the food and staff. It was five of us, but we got sat quickly and checked out the menu. My friends daughter got her avocado roll quickly, which looked amazing, and she devoured quickly. It took a while for us to get something else as they were unexplectantly slammed and did not have the staff to handle it. We finally were able to order more food, but there was a mix-up that happened, and we ended up with someone else's food. It worked out, though, and we finally ended up with our food. My friend and I shared a rainbow roll, fried salmon salad, and special sauce. Everything was delicious, especially the special sauce! It was a little greasy but had a mix of seafood and spices that made the salmon salad and the cucumber salad pop. I literally ate it by itself as well--so good. Now, the rainbow roll was so fresh and diverse with a mix of salmon, avocado, and crab--wow, so delicious! I could've eaten that just by itself! I'm so glad that my friend has been here before as their menu is extensive, and I could not narrow down what I wanted as everything sounded so good! I like that they have a mix of traditional and special rolls. Minus one star for the rushed and up and down service. But, otherwise, what a great sushi bar in Prescott!
