Pikes Peak Tour Depot — Attraction in Colorado Springs

My family and I purchased tickets at the Pike's Peak Tour Depot for a ride up the mountain on August 11th. We were fortunate enough to have James Thomas as our driver. The trip was so much more than we had anticipated. Aside from the spectacular views and signature white-knuckle roads, Jim added immeasurably to the quality of our tour by his extensive knowledge of the area's geography and history. We did not expect a narrated tour and were delighted in his ability to inform and entertain us all the way up and back down the mountain. This whole entire team makes 5 stars not seem enough. We were greeted by so many friendly people that helped ease the process by telling us what to expect as we climbed to how to handle it, they talked about all the stops we’d take on the way up. Richard was a fabulous tour guide as we climbed there were so many informative and funny stories. He played off of the bus driver very well. I can’t say enough about how my family of 3 enjoyed the entire experience. We even had one in our party experience altitude sickness and the EMT’s at the Summit house were all over it. We had a wonderful trip to the top of Pikes Peak in October 2018. Luckily it was a clear day and we were able to see for hundreds of miles. Our driver Tom Yoder was a terrific tour guide and gave us enlightening information all the way up the mountain and back down. He showed a genuine concern for all his passengers and how we were adjusting to the altitude. He frequently asked how we were feeling and reminded us to drink our water.
