Red River Adventures is the BEST!!
My first climbing adventure with them I was lead by John L. on a beautiful multi-pitch with some great exposure in BCC, exactly the climb I was looking for. We finished the day with some shorter routes and he got me back to the parking lot in perfect time to catch my flight out 🤙
Just did my second climb with them this past May in Moab! Departed promptly at 5am with Brian J. for the Ancient Art tower in Fisher Towers. Had planned to climb this tower with RRA in 2018 but work got in the way, now 5 years later I had the greatest time climbing Stolen Chimney! Had a blast scrambling up the approach and an even better time in the chimney! We were the only ones on the route and Brian took lots of great photos (including the caterpillar we found at the top of P3, which he assisted to the summit of P4 😂).
We had some snacks on the way down and even had time to bag a fun single pitch on the way out! I will definitely be choosing RRA for my next adventure up Castleton Tower :)
I recommend RRA to everyone I know and can’t say enough about how good their guides are. John knew all the best routes and we had a super laidback time while also getting in tons of climbing with the limited time I had. Brian is a Moab expert and shared lots of cool knowledge with me. This was my first tower climb and it won’t be my last! My memories from that summit will last a lifetime!
If you’re on the fence about who to climb with, just jump, RRA will give...
Read moreWe aren’t exactly outdoorsy, I booked this when I knew we would be passing through Moab and I wanted to get my family out of our comfort zone and I am so glad I did. My 12 year old son and my husband would both rather read a book than go outside and they had an absolute blast. I chose Red River because they mentioned using smaller groups which appealed to my introvert soul. Everything from booking to leaving at the end was simple and easy. Our guide Emily was so much fun, full of facts about the region and skilled enough to keep my, less than adventurous family from drowning. Some of the reviews I read prior to booking complained about the river not being wild enough but this was exactly what I had hoped for. The rapids we did encounter were exciting and fun while giving us enough time to paddle and enjoy the scenery between the little adrenaline hits. My son had a grin on his face the entire time. Lunch was delightful. The other guests were courteous and entertaining. We did encounter other rafting companies and they were so full of rafters I would have been uncomfortable in their groups. . Our family of 3 was given our own raft with Emily and the larger groups were kept close to each other by their incredibly skilled guides. I was never worried about a thing and I’m so glad we chose Red...
Read moreNo need to waste time reading this review when you could already be on their website signing up, but I suppose it's your time to waste, so here's the deal. A couple weeks ago, my friend suggested we go rafting in Moab together. She had previously done a trip with Red River Adventures a while back and loved it, so it seemed like a safe bet for my inaugural float. Simple sign up, fair prices, and knowledgeable guides. Pretty much a no-brainer.
It totally held up. We had a blast with our guide, the absolutely incredible Molly. Her witty humor and kindness were only matched by her knowledge of the area and of the river itself. Between the named rapids, of which she had complete and utter control over, she kept the group entertained with fun little facts about the local geography, wildlife, and surrounding community. It was an even better experience than I had hoped for.
One and only one complaint: On our way back to our vehicles after the trip, Molly gave our group some recommendations for restaurants in the area, including burgers at Milt's. It sounded like the perfect place for my friend and I to grab a quick bite on our way out of town since we were running short on time, so we stopped by. They were "temporarily closed."
Molly, burgers are on you next time...
