We have been waiting to watch How To TrainYour Dragon for months. My family went to see it in 3D tonight. I had my Toothles shoulder buddy. Pop corn, drinks, and was seated. I was waiting excitedly to relive my son and daughter's childhood with them. The movie does not strart. We are asked by the manager to move from theater12 to theater 2 due to a technocal problem with the 3D part of their pojector in that theater. It was hot and stuffy, so I was glad to move to a theater that had some air circulating no big deal. We moved only for the manager to send one of the young ladies working the concessions to theater 2 to tell us we could watch something else or get a pass to come back another day, but they would not be able to show How To TrainYour Dragon tonight at all. By this point it is too late to go anywhere else and catch it. Plus, we had already paid for 2 large popcorns and 4 large drinks to watch it tonight. Not to metion this was pretty disappointing for everyon in my goup. I am wearing a dragon shoulder buddy. I took time, spent money, and came to see this movie not something else. Can 3D movies not be testd out to make sure equipment is working correctly beforehand maybe? This way hopefully this can be prevented for future...
Read moreI've been there twice this week and my wife a third time. We've had great experiences each time we've visited this theatre over the years, so of course it is our favorite. Here's why I highly recommend this theater: Cleanliness. The cleanest theater I've ever seen, including (especially) the rest rooms. (And the automatic toilets actually flush!) Comfortable. The seats are slightly larger than other local theaters. The picture is flawless and the sound system clear and not uncomfortably loud. It's well lighted, even after the movie starts, but the lights are not obtrusive at all. It's usually not too crowded, and if it is, there are no bad seats in the house. Convenience. Plenty of parking, often close to the door. Lines move fast. Concessions are conveniently placed and adequately staffed. Restrooms and movies are well marked and trash cans are readily available. Located so that if you take the secondary entrance road to the mall, you avoid all the traffic. Prices of tickets and concessions, while high, are competitive with or better than other local theaters.
I've been to all the local theaters from Charleston to Huntington (except Pullman Square) and this theater is...
Read moreTook my kids yesterday for the $1 summer movie. Figured we would get a little treat so we got some SMALL slushee's after paying only $5 for our tickets we proceeded to pay $40 for our flavorless expensive ice they call a slushee! My 5 yr old wanted to ride the motorcycle ride I told him after the movie because there was a line. So after the movie we came out and a worker had decided to block the arcade section off while she cleaned the glass on the games but instead was having a good ole time playing the motorcycle racing game over and over with her windex and paper towels beside her. She heard us standing and waiting (me thinking she was done and just having a quick game) however she played over and over while not caring that my little one was BEGGING to get on. We had to walk out without because she was too worried beating her high score apparently. I will DEFINITELY make the drive to the other movie...
