Rome Tennis Center at Berry College — Attraction in Rome

Overall a high quality facility that could be improved in a couple ways:

-There isn't enough paved parking for a facility this size, so when it's crowded, visitors have to park in a grass field up a hill. I can't imagine it would take all that much to pave this area and create a better parking situation. -On the NCAA courts, the spectator wall is only 3-4' high, with open style fencing for about 4' above the wall. The problem there is that deep shots hit in that direction often skip through the fencing into the stands, and sometimes even through the open fence behind the stands (ie completely out of the facility). The former happened numerous times in our matches and it's super frustrating if no one is available to retrieve the ball, because the stands are not easily accessible from the courts. A better design is needed here. -It's very windy on the outdoor courts, yet there are surprisingly few wind screens on the fences. Seems like a...

Incredible facilities! With close to 30 tennis 🎾 courts. All courts are in perfect condition. This facility is extremely well run very clean. The bathrooms also are clean. The Pro Shop has options for food and various gear and equipment. Such a beautiful place to watch tennis as well. They’re surrounding Landscape and the quality of the property at large makes for wonderful viewing experience.

Right next-door is a very nice hotel basically on the same property making it very easy for travel tennis players in town for tournaments

My school was there on Saturday, May 11th for the GHSA state tennis Championships. There are plenty if courts to support an event as large as this. We were afraid there wouldn't be enough parking for such a big event, especially for those in my party that have physical impairments. However, there was plenty of handicapped parking, and parking overall. The venue itself was nice. The support staff there was knowledgeable of the event and gracious.
