My other half and I visited the Las Mesas located on Martha Berry HWY this evening… We had a total of 4 beverages that contained alcohol, 2 each. The lady serving us asked us if we would like it a little stronger, we replied yes. Never being informed of any prices including the shots that ended up being $9+ each.. we ended up with a tab or $80. Which Included being overcharged for a $9 shot. We we were asked if we want our drinks a little stronger, to realize after receiving the check that they were $9+ each. If I had known, I would not have accepted them and would have no reason to complain. My total would of been $50 and some change.
I come in, in my pajamas so I’m sure I don’t look like much of anyone to spend money. Tonight, we just wanted a small treat and looked to spend no more than $50. Had I known the prices, I would have been able to judge how much I ordered. Again tonight, I didn’t want to spend a lot but my significant other and I come out often (3-4 times a week) and spend $100+ just on drinks and then $20-50 tip depending on service.
I am the General Manager of the new Dunkin’ location in Rome. All I do is customer service all day long. Speaking to the manager she Informed us prices are optional to display. She acted like she completely didn’t care. From my work over the 6 years with Dunkin’, I have already been introduced to the mayor and county commissioner by the owners of Dunkin’. A lot of people come in asking for our opinion of the area and now I have no good words about Las Mesas. How are you going to allow people to order items from menu, especially alcoholic drinks, when a single shot is almost $10. Very inconsiderate. Judging prices from any other Mexican restaurant I’ve been to, I’ve never been charged this much in my life for 4 drinks. I live very close and this spot is very convenient but I would rather travel to indulge than to return to this...
Read moreVisited with the entire family on a Friday for lunch. Not busy at all. Quiet. Sadly, this was just so disappointing at so many levels. Let’s be clear- this is Mexican food and not haute cuisine so shouldn’t be hard to pull off. Let’s start with service. The waiter with the crazy haircut! Learn some customer service skills!!! It’s basic. Be polite and attentive and not hang and chat with the other servers while ignoring clients. And don’t be irritated at your customers when they ask for more chips. It’s pretty normal in a Mex restaurant. Food. Oh my- bleh at best! Beef tacos were COLD in the middle. Cold! Burrito, cold. The chili rellano was truly a disaster of a glop of cheese, slimy pepper not fried appropriately. Food came out in stages. Had to send out a search party for a couple of items. Let’s be clear! This was not a tough order. Not busy. Plenty of staff. Owners/managers teach customer service and teach your line cooks how to cook!!! Customers. Stop accepting mediocre food from these establishments! We’ve all gotten lazy as consumers and...
Read moreThis was my first time here. I ordered a simple entrée, chicken and cheese quesadilla with spinach. When I got it, the kitchen help brought it, I explained that it didn't come as I ordered it. She said she would bring a side of cheese and bring more chips as we had none. We didn't see her again. We explained this to the waitress who had a flippant attitude about the situation. They sent the same girl who brought our food to us and we explained the situation...she apologized and said she would speak with the manager. She came back with the check and took 20% off the check and apologized again. I didn't give 2 stars because of the 2nd girl not following up on what she said she would do. I gave 2 stars because of our waitress flippant attitude because she didn't seem to care. We still gave her a good tip even though she didn't give us...
