Final edit. I received a call from the owner and I must say she was very nice thankfully. She listened to my concerns and we ended up agreeing on a partial refund of 25% I still have a piece of chipped pottery that I'm not crazy about but at this point it is what it is. The employees there are another story and I still would not recommend this place for ceramic style pieces.
Latest Edit. Just picked it up and it's chipped, unbelievable. Acted like it was my fault for wanting it back so "soon" said it could be repaired if I waited even longer. I asked how are you going to repair it without firing it. She replied " I do it all the time" in otherwords they break and chip the pottery often. Oh and the best part is that i asked my daughter to go in and pick it up bc I'm over it. They had it wrapped up and was not about to tell her about it being chipped. Wanna bet they would have denied any of it if I hadn't checked in the parking lot. Unbelievable. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!
Edit. 4 weeks later and two weeks until Christmas and I still don't have this Christmas decoration back. Beyond ridiculous at this point. I want a refund. Period.
Purchased a $100 Christmas tree yesterday. I had to leave as my 4 yr old granddaughter got ancy, at that time lady said UP to a month to get it back, seemed a bit extreme but I've already started painting. I just dropped it back off today and was told up to 6 weeks!! That's after Christmas folks. I am so disappointed. I wasn't even aware of that until after I had started. Like I'm kinda stuck now. Why would you let me start on a seasonal piece if its gonna take that long? $100 that's why, Place seems like a money grab and all the pottery comes from China. Very overpriced and I won't even get to enjoy it for the holidays. I won't be back and honestly wish I'd have gone...
Read moreHOLY EXPENSIVE! a small bowl costs $44 to paint and then you have to pay the firing fee! it cost nearly $100 for three of us to paint something moderately small. The first 20 minutes we were there it was us and one other table, and it was DEAD silent. I finally asked the manager to put on some music, which was great at first, but they were playing two different radio stations in two separate rooms, and it all blended together. Instead of bringing a small pallet or dish to your table, they had you bring a container of paint, but most of them were either dried out, so they had to add more, or the paint was separated and didn't mix well. they also did not want you to rinse off your brush in water, so you had to try to wipe off your brush on a paper towel, or else you had to find a completely new brush, and most of them were frayed and crusty. I'm giving two stars only because the staff was friendly and informative, but if it wasn't for that, i would only give 1 star. OH!! and it takes TWO WEEKS to get your ceramics back! Any other location takes 1 week MAXIMUM. We would have gone to All Fired Up in Winter Park, but they were closed on memorial day, so this was our only option. VERY disappointed.
about 1.5 weeks later we got our pottery back, and I was really excited at first, but once i got home and had a chance to look at it, i noticed that there are several small chips or bubbles on the bottom of them, and some dirty residue in the bottom of mine that seems to be burned into it...just overall very disappointed and will not...
Read moreVisited today! They were kind enough to squeeze us in at 7pm, and I'm embarassed to say we left a few minutes after closing. Poor planning/timing on our part but the employees were kind and helpful from the moment we walked in, and were patient with us. We had a great time and I'll be coming again-- much earlier in the day!
The selection of ceramics was impressive and included a lot of very cute, funky pieces as well as nice simple options. The size of the pieces ranges from about a deck of cards to a basketball. I'd say there were pieces to appeal to any age, and a bunch of holiday things like jack-o-lanterns and a little sleigh. If you're looking to make a unique gift or something special for home, you can find something here! Just make sure you time it right, because turn-around is a few weeks. Not a bad wait by any means, just good to keep in mind if you're making something for an occasion.
My mom had a lot of trouble finding the location but it's pretty easy to spot if you look for teal awnings! The signboard isn't particularly flashy but the business is definitely listed alongside a dance studio and a handful of other businesses. SACP is up a short stairway on your right, which has sturdy railings but not very good lighting in the the evening. There was plenty of parking.
TL;DR âś… Super âś… Awesome âś…...
