Sweet Frog — Attraction in Short Pump

We have been to this location several times in the past but not in the past 6 months. I wish I had read the recent reviews before bringing my kids here tonight (8pm on a summer Thursday for reference.) First, the place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. I was hoping maybe we had come at a bad time, but according to the other reviews this place is apparently a cesspool all the time now. Hair everywhere, cakey footprints, crusty toppings and melted yogurt all over the floor as soon as you walk in. Then, 7 of the 10 machines were broken. The only ones working were mango, watermelon, and cotton candy. Vanilla, chocolate, and all the other classic flavors were unavailable. There were no out of order signs on any of them either, resulting in many confused patrons trying to troubleshoot the machines themselves. The “staff” consisted of two teenagers more interested in serving their friends free yogurt than figuring out why the majority of their machines were down. When we pointed out 75% of the machines were inoperable, they simply shrugged and said “sorry, don’t know what to tell you.” Half the machines also looked like they were about to fall out of the wall.

I’m not one to usually write reviews, but this location is absolutely disgusting. There’s food all over the floor, the tables are all shoved to one area and all of them are filthy. The toppings are all over the place and not separated into their proper containers, really great for those with allergies, there’s definitely cross contamination there. There’s not a single adult running the place, only teenagers. They also had a giant group of their friends here who didn’t pay for their ice cream, and were being loud and inappropriate. I have my 7 year old with me and one of the girls tried to pull the pants down of another girl in the group in front of him. I also politely told the girl at the register as I left that the place was a wreck and to be mindful of that for the guests who enter, she just said “okay, sorry” and then shrugged. I am not writing this review to be negative or prevent people from eating here- but I just want to bring some issues I found to the management's attention. We went this evening around 730pm and there was a decent crowd inside, but not full capacity. I only saw one employee handling everything. The floors were so dirty... noticeable hair, toppings smeared on the ground, the chairs were also not clean. A lot of the frozen yogurt was running low and barely any would come out. The hot fudge was out of service and all of the sprinkles by the register barely had any left in the container.
