On 6/4/2023, Sunday at 6:28 PM. The lack of available registers and the unprofessional behavior of the staff left me feeling extremely dissatisfied with my shopping experience. Only two registers were open, causing a long line of customers to wait to be served. When I inquired about the reason for this inconvenience to a cashier, Mattew C., his response was not only dismissive but also disrespectful. "Because we are on the payroll."
What made matters worse was the presence of two other employees behind the cashier's desk. Although Matthew claimed that they are coordinators and they are not supposed to be at the register, they were taking customers at the register, and the lights at the registers were on, but they just stopped when it was my turn, and then leisurely walked around engaging in a conversation behind the cashier's desk, disregarding customers lined up.
This incident left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer. Waiting in line for an extended period due to a shortage of open registers is already inconvenient, but witnessing employees neglect their responsibilities and prioritize their conversations is simply unacceptable.
I believe it is essential for your store management to address this issue promptly. Proper training should be provided to the staff members regarding the importance of efficient service, respecting customers' time, and prioritizing their needs. It is crucial to have a sufficient number of registers open, especially during peak hours, to ensure a smooth shopping experience...
Read moreThe store has a wonderful selection of products from clothes to house goods. Iâm giving this review for the dressing room policies that made for a terrible experience. There is a limit of 10 items per room which is common place for most stores, for shop lifting purposes. However, TJ Maxx has an additional policy which was not explained nor was I aware of (like most of modern society I shop online most of the time). If you have more than 10 items you are to return to the fitting room clerk, give up your room and wait in line again to try on the rest of your items. Instead of this being told to any customer beforehand, the clerk will remove the customers belongings from where they were in order to give it to another person. Either the signs need to explain this further or there needs to be an employee there that is able to explain this to customers before they try on anything. Unfortunately, who they had stationed there only spoke very broken English so was unequipped to communicate with all customers It is never appropriate to have an employee touch a customers belongings especially when that customer is standing right in front of them.    Read moreBought two pairs of 14k earrings with yellow tags and the associate said âthese are final sale, you cannot return themâ. This is a blatant lie, you are able to return anything within 30 day and itâs in original condition with a receipt. Went in to return some tops that I did not like a day after purchasing and was denied the return bc they were also yellow tag items. The young lady helping me called over the radio to ask about yellow tag return and An old woman with short black hair came up and said that they do not accept yellow tag returns and that they have signs saying itâs final sale and non returnable. This being another blatant lie. Iâve mentioned how iâve had to return a necklace i did not like with a yellow tag and had no issues and sheâs said âjewelry is exemptâ. I was floored. Having experience with tjmaxx policies they are not only having employees follow their own made up policies but they are also lying to customers and not accepting returns. Store Manager nowhere to be found during this interaction. Unless the old woman was the manager than she should be reprimanded for such low quality...
