Target — Attraction in South Hill

Have shopped at Target for so many years I can’t even count. After today Walmart will be my new favorite store, I am no longer a fan of Target and in fact I’m sickened by the way my daughter was treated by an employee of the Target store in Sunrise village. My daughter, her friend and both their two year old little boys were in the apparel section shopping when an employee by the name of Virgina stopped and stared them down, in an aggressive way. My daughter and her friend saw her but kept looking at clothes, Virginia continued to stare them down for very long awkward minutes. My daughter finally asked if they did something wrong, this is when Virginia verbally abused them, was visibly upset because a piece of clothing has fallen to the ground. She proceeded to tell them no one ever picks up after themselves and then said they were disgusting. Another shopper overheard and witnessed the entire ordeal. This employee refused to give her name or the name of her manager. This employee was very aggressive verbally and walked closer to my daughter in an aggressive way. She then started aggressively yelling at the other shopper. My daughter, her friend and the other shopper along with her mother all went to the front of the store to make a complaint. The manager was seen taking the employee to the back office shortly thereafter she returned back to the floor in the apparel section to continue out her day. After speaking with the manager my daughter was told they can’t provide any details about their store protocol in how they will deal with situation. It was said due to Virginias “safety”. This doesn’t sit well with me, is there no regard for the customers safety when you clearly have an unstable employee verbally abusing customers? This employee could have respectfully asked them to pick up the pants and rehang them, even though I would like to add that keeping the store picked up is exactly what this employee gets paid to do. I called myself and spoke to the manager of apparel, one of her responses to me was it was an unfortunate situation. It was more than an unfortunate situation. My daughter felt humiliated, scared and confused how an employee can behave in this manner to loyal customers. These days you just never know when someone is going to come unhinged, being in that situation is unsettling. The fact that Target is more concerned about protecting this employee over the safety of their own customers is quite concerning. I welcome Target headquarters to contact myself or my daughter to explain how this makes sense. They absolutely owe my daughter her friend and the other shoppers a reason why the unstable employees safety outweighs the safety of the shoppers who are keeping them in business. I urge anyone who reads this to keep this in mind while shopping this store. No one wants to be subjected to this treatment while choosing to shop at a store. Yes, a very unfortunate situation that Target does not care about their customers, however I’m sure they care about the money those customers are spending in their store. Lady working in the childrens clothing department today btwn 1-1:15pm 11-19-2018 you know who you are, I did not get your name. I asked you for help in finding a boys 18-20 sized white button up shirt. You throw up your hands in the air and say rudly"18-20" I do not know what that is what? I explain that is what size my son wears and a typical size for a teenager of 14-15 yrs old. You ask if I checked for myself in the boys department..duh of course I did I was trying to tell you that your sizes only go to 16 when you were acting like I was interrupting your too important work to help me. Then you tell me well that is what size your boys go to . I ask what do boy wear who are the next size up? You reply I do not know ! You should get to know sizes of clothes if you work in Target or any retail store , your store Target, they no longer carry teen clothes. 18-20 for boys anyway are gone. I can no longer shop in your store for my son who is normal sized teen 18-20 that is what most 14-18 yr old boys wear btw, but its ok Kohls has it. You did however tell me to take my business to JCPenny's. Thanks. You were so rude. I was in a Target store recently to purchase a gift card for my sisters baby shower. After purchasing the gift card, the $50 never showed available on the card. I went into Target with my receipt and gift card to inform them of the issue. I was told by a customer service agent that this is a common reoccurring issue for their store. They explained scammers have been taking photos of the back of the cards and waiting for an available balance to appear then using the gift card.

Rather than taking the gift cards off the wall to avoid this happening to their customers, they continue to knowingly let this happen to customers and do not offer a solution to this issue. I was told to contact a 1(800) number to report the issue. After being transferred 3 times, their solution was to send an email to no one specific in guest services and wait for a response. It has been 4 weeks, no one has contacted me and none of my phone calls to Target have ended in a solution or even assistance with the issue.

I write this review in hopes that I can help someone avoid this issue in the future with Target. I do not recommend purchasing any gift cards from any Target store in your area and strongly encourage shoppers to keep this story in mind while shopping at your...
