Been to Hollywood Casino many times. Never saw a show there until a month ago. Saw Aaron Lewis and he put on a great show. However the seating as others said is horrid. Very uncomfortable and unless your a small person you will be miserable. If I would have known this I would not have bought tickets to see Jay Leno in advance. Unfortunately fast forward a week out from the Jay Leno show and Virginia is faced with a CAT-4 hurricane. I called the casino to see if the show will be canceled. Spoke to some what sounded like old lady who was rude. Conversation pretty much went like this. Me: Hello I'm calling about the Jay Leno show this weekend and if it will be canceled how can I get updated status. Old lady : We never cancel shows. Me: Ok so your telling me Jay Leno is going to do a show in a Category 4 hurricane. Old lady : We are only expecting rain. Me : Thanks for your time CLICK. Seriously WTH! I would not call 10 inches of projected rain JUST rain.. I'm a hour and half from WV ummmm I'm pretty sure half the state will be out of power. WILL NEVER buy tickets again to this venue extremely unprofessional. Guess Jay Leno can tell jokes to all of 3 people in the audience with flashlights if he can even get his plane to land at the airport. In all seriousness I'm mad because there is no way to get updates. Their facebook page doesn't say jack. Their website doesn't say jack. My experience calling the Casino was just met with ignorance.. so guess...
Read moreI was VERY disappointed with my experience here. One of my friends and I went to see Marshall Tucker and EVERYONE was sitting. We stood a few times and tried to get people going but it was very lame. We ended up leaving and going back into the casino to try our luck on some slot machines. We spoke to a few of the security standing at the door and they agreed that it was strange to not see people standing up at a concert.
So, I tried it again. Got tickets to go see Trace Adkins. I had great seats, 8 rows back from the stage. However, since the venue is rather small every seat is good. What ISN'T GOOD is the fact that again, NO ONE WAS STANDING UP!! I mean, who goes to a concert and doesn't stand up and move to the beat. I stood up again, only this time I had a KAREN behind me who tapped me on the shoulder and said she couldn't see. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! WE ARE AT A CONCERT! So trying to be polite I sat down. Towards the end of the show I again stood up to get a recording, she again tapped me on the shoulder and said "I can't see". Well, I stayed standing while recording when I saw her out of the corner of my eye go to the security up front. AGAIN, ARE YOU KIDDING ME KAREN! Security was coming towards me so obviously he was coming to tell me to sit down. I WILL NEVER PAY MONEY TO SEE A CONCERT AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN! I don't go to a concert to sit in my seat and not move...
Read moreWont go here again . Paid $117 and did not see a second of the show their set up is terrible couldn't see over the people with cameras in their hand filming the show. I'd add photos but I couldn't see anything. Even their big screens on either side would work for 2 minutes then turn off when they were showing what was on stage it was sofuzzy you could t see anyway. It's like I said they were sold out and everyone that was sitting in the seats infront of me and beside me had their arms up filming the whole show with their phones. I thought maybe their arms would get tired but nope every single minute of the show their arms were up. The 2 screens on either side of the stage were blank 90 % of the show but even then I count see them either due to everyone's arms up and phones . It was a terrible place to watch a show Period . Maybe the people who decide they want to film using their phones should be made to sit in the back rows so other people can enjoy the show. You think they would have common courtesy. But nope. The venue completely wasted my money. Won't...
