What a fantastic way to improve your short game and play among the most amazing golf courses in the area! This Par 3, 9 hole course is in a park-like setting that is a unique setting that although not your typical golf course since you hit off mats, can not use woods for safety and the farthest hole being 104 yards - remember your improving your short game or in my husband's case helping his wife improve her golf game and strokes =)
The Marshall/kiosk attendant was pleasant, helpful and even came out to capture our picture in front of the sign. She gave us a quick lay off the course, let us know where the drinking water and restrooms were located and sent us out with scorecard in hand with added bonus of we could play for as long as we would like to be there. At $30 a person some would say a bit steep bit remembering where you're at (17 Mile Drive) and the extra bonus of all day play - not to bad of a deal!
All in all we had a GREAT time! I didn't feel hurried, we laughed, enjoyed the beautiful scenery getting some really amazing photo opportunities and memories. I even hit out of the sand trap 2x with ease I might add and yes I'm still a practicing golfer that's improving her game always. I even managed to hit my ball between two trees and YES, folks with one stroke got it on the green - wahoooo!! I have a witness and no, my husband won't lie for me, we are pretty competitive and I occasionally hoot like an owl when it's his turn LOL.
So if your in the area and your wanting to play in the 17 Mile Drive area, heck, why not go out and improve your short game, practice getting out of the sand traps or between trees LOL, capture some amazing, gorgeous, pictures, put a HUGE smile on your face, by laughing a little. Remember you get to go home and say you played here - I certainly did with pictures to prove it!
PRO TIP: Be sure to tell the gate you're playing here so they wave the gate fee for 17 Mile Drive but if you pay it's reimbursed...
Read morePlaying The Hay course at Pebble Beach was an absolute blast! 🇺🇸⛳️ The fun started the moment we stepped onto the greens, which were in pristine condition despite the number of golfers. The short, yet challenging, holes provided the perfect opportunity to work on our short game and unleash some creative shots. Each hole offered a unique challenge, from blind tee shots to demanding greens, keeping us engaged and entertained throughout the round. The variety of hole lengths and green conditions required us to think strategically and play different shots, which was a great learning experience. We also enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding landscape from almost every hole. 🌊 The atmosphere was laid back and casual, allowing us to relax and enjoy the game with friends. 🏌️🇺🇸 The Hay was more than just a golf course; it was a complete experience. The replica of the famous 7th hole of Pebble Beach was a particular highlight, adding a touch of iconic history to the round. We were also impressed with the Hay's Place restaurant, which offered delicious food and drinks with spectacular views. The opportunity to play on a course designed by Tiger Woods, added another layer of excitement to the experience. We highly recommend The Hay to anyone looking for a fun and engaging golf experience, regardless of their skill level. While the price may be considered high by some, the fun and memorable experience makes it a worthwhile investment,. The challenging greens and beautiful views make it a course that we'll definitely be returning to for another round of golf and memories. 🏌️♀️🏌️♂️🇺🇸 #TheHay #PebbleBeach #GolfLife #ShortCourse #TigerWoods #GolfReview #GolfGetaway #OceanViews #GolfFun #FamilyFriendlyGolf...
Read moreOur recent visit to The Hay at Pebble Beach—a beautifully designed short course by Tiger Woods—had all the potential to be a highlight of our trip. The course itself is wonderful: scenic coastal views, a relaxed vibe, creative par-3 holes including a replica of Pebble’s iconic 7th, and a terrific restaurant. It’s a fantastic layout for players of all ages, and we especially appreciated the opportunity to share the game with my 8yr old in such an iconic location. However, what really soured the overall experience was the misleading welcome letter we received after booking our tee time. It made no mention of one restriction: guests playing only at The Hay do not have access to the main Pebble Beach practice range—something that would have significantly influenced our expectations and planning. It was frustrating and honestly a bit embarrassing to walk up to the counter at the facility ready to warm up, only to be turned away. The staff delivered the message politely, but the rejection felt curt and unwelcoming, especially after our excitement leading up to the day. For a brand as prestigious as Pebble Beach, clear and transparent communication should be a given, not an oversight. If you’re heading to play The Hay for a more complete golf experience, just know going in that practice options may be limited. While the round itself was fun and the views are unbeatable, the lack of upfront information put a real damper on what could’ve been an ideal golf outing. Still worth visiting—but temper your expectations and double-check...
