Rental Center experience very frustrating(Disaster) due to Clear Tech verification process...This third party affiliation is losing customers for Home Depot ! Online, I pre set an appointment for Cargo Van rental...(I have been a loyal HD customer for 38years.) Frustrating is a nice way of putting it....The CLEAR technology or App did not properly work. When scanning the QR code required to verify an error message displayed OOPS sorry we are fixing a patch on our end ..try back later.... OOOPs not making it any better. I asked WHEN to try back -- my reservation is time sensitive a client was expecting my arrival with van to complete scheduled task. I tried and retried and asked employee to shut down and reboot system it may help...the staff was willing to try but was certain it would not operate properly..sure enough it still kept me from verifying thus no rental occurred...I asked for manager but again was reassured the CLEAR APP has not worked frequently...many customers turned away due to lack of verification NOT OPERATING PROPERLY...when I said this issue needs to be escalated to Corporate execs...actually staff asked if I would Please because they had to deal with many annoyed, disgruntled, angry customers due to this third party application. Read moreNever thought I'd be writing a review for Home Depot, but this one is something special. My Dad lives in Lantana, and I live in St Augustine. I had to drive down recently and help Dad with quite a few things, and this place was a life saver. Full disclosure- I'm usually a Lowe's guy and went to Lowe's in Boynton first. This HD is less than a half mile from his house and is easily the best Home Depot I've ever been to. What a store, and what a team!! I was helped by at least 5 different employees. They were all great, and I wish I had the foresight to remember their names. Harmony is the asst store manager I believe. She's so nice and was so incredibly helpful to me. Pat yourself on the back Harmony.. you're awesome and so is your team. I WISH we had a store like this in St Augustine, but ours is just so so. This is like a MEGA Home Depot. It's big, new, nice and has everything you could ever think of and then some. I could spend the day here and be totally happy lolol.. In all seriousness though, this is easily one of the best home improvement stores I've ever been to, and I build homes and sell real estate for a living here in St Augustine. Be aware the company they use to deliver appliances will come into your home and destroy your house, we are now dealing with over 5000 dollars of damages from the original delivery. In which they damaged both the washer and the dryer.
We have tried in good faith to work with the store and the delivery team to get a working washer and dryer, with no luck.
Our first child is due in the next 3 weeks and we don't have a washing machine.
We tried contacting the assistant store manager Garfield, but he is never available and the customer service for appliances Watana doesn't reply to emails, voicemails, or calls back when spoken to her directly. Very disappointing.
