Read moreStereo replacement and all windows have ceramic film installed upon. The 2019 Toyota Camry stock stereo/entertainment display is LACKING. The navigation, Scout, is just the worse (many tickets about no working: navigation, accounts, inability to find locations when a route). The Toyota app Entune is as bad as its head unit (cannot make adjustments: select tracks, playlist, or even search while the vehicle is moving...a safety feature that's absurd, there's other seats thus other parties to use the device safely while in motion). I went into Tint World wanting window tint and curious about getting a "functioning" stereo with Android Auto capability. I walked out of the store the same day with an estimate, less a deposit for installation equipment required ($1500), and a "to contact when ready". I initiated the follow-up contact the next week, "the installation kits were not received yet..". The Ninth of January was the date of deposit and the call to schedule the installation occurred on the Seventeenth. They did accept the vehicle the evening before with it being secured within the facility overnight. The installation of both the "head" unit and the ceramic film (clear, 50%, & 70%) on all windows was done within the same day (as stated at time of the deposit). The stereo is SO MUCH BETTER! All control functions via the steering wheel were retained and I am able to select &/or browse media at will. The film made the vehicle more attractive. The 'real' benefit of the ceramic film hasn't been felt yet (weather is mild and cool so far...so haven't had the open car door and welcome oven, which the film should reduce greatly). An issue arose after I'd left the facility and after business hours. I left an email explaining that I was needing a follow-up appointment, but would require it weeks later. I had received a reply that same evening with the date given and an appointment set. The follow-up took less than 10 minutes and an additional request to relocate the USB input cable was accomplished within that 10 minutes and at no additional cost. Follow-up: From 4 star to 3 Returning for the electric lock malfunctioning after the install, "...it was because you did not leave us the fob.". The double lock did stop. I did not notice that the manual lock button on the driver's door was no longer 'connected' (it just flops back and forth....February Ninth). I had sent in a request on the Eleventh of June for a possible upgrade and my returning to the shop on the Eleventh of July. A few back and forths via email, then a call from Tint World suggesting I travel to another of their stores to view a product was the last contact until I arrived on the Eleventh of July. I was not able to get the lock button fixed and was even questioned about why I thought Tint World should look at. An appointment was scheduled the next time I'd be in the area (a...
Had the striping on my vehicle redone, as well as the tint. Both turned out great. Had a small blemish on the striping appear within a week that they were able to fix easily. The downside was that my rear view mirror apparently fell off during tint installation and they did not offer to fix it. I ended up having to purchase a tool to remove the mirror clip, and purchase a new mirror. They seemed to think I was lying that my mirror had never fallen off before, but I’ve owned the car since 2016 and never had an issue with the mirror. Sort of left a bad taste in my mouth that I spent nearly $2,000 and they don’t offer to fix it, or reimburse me for a $10 tool and a $50 mirror.
Update: No Pete, you all were not willing to fix my mirror and brushed me off as some sort of liar. Additionally, around 3-4 months after the striping was done, it started to peel up at the edges and discoloration began from the middle of the striping on the roof. I went by to express my concerns, and they stated that something must have dripped onto the stripes or something (again, never their fault that something has gone wrong, just like the mirror suddenly falling off.) I assured them that this did not happen since I only park at home and at work with no possibility of a substance getting onto the stripes. The discoloration got worse, I came back a month later, and they changed their story to say that "its the type of striping they used, it doesn't last as long." First of all, I let them choose the exact material and color to best match the silver that was previously on the vehicle. Second, if i would have known that these stripes would start to discolor and peel after 3-6 months, i would have never agreed to pay the amount that i did. Fast forward to 9 months after the striping was completed, it looked horrible, completely discolored and peeling on the hood, roof, and trunk. It looked even worse than the 15 year old factory stripes that I came in to have replaced! Through about 5 attempts to reason with them and come to some sort of resolution, nothing came of it. Very disappointed, will not be returning for work with future vehicles, and unfortunately must advise everyone against using their services. The icing on the cake is when they replied to this review stating I was not in their system and they were unfamiliar with the situation. I am very sure that THIS WAS THE EAST COLONIAL LOCATION, believe me, I know where I dropped my vehicle off and who I paid to...
Read moreI had very high hopes this company would be good at what they do. I dropped my week old 2025 Lexus nx350h luxury trim for high impact areas and door cups ppf, ceramic coating and ultimate level tint.
Unfortunately there was a litany of problems with the services provided. I had tint not properly tamped down to the window in several areas. Ppf never having been installed in the door cups tons of dried up water all over the car doors and dash/infotainment system including a blurry HUD as a result of water going to the HUD housing and being left to dry.
I hope this does not lead to any electronics damage in my brand new car.
It was very unfortunate because I had left them the car for an entire week to work on and the job was not done correctly let alone being given everything I paid for.
I also saw damage to my piano black portions of my bumper from improper cleaning with a dirty towel. I now have light scratches in the direction of a wipe done with a towel on the piano black part of the bumper.
Mind you the car was never touched when it comes to cleaning the car by anyone else prior to this service as it was only a week old at the time of dropping it off here.
This should not be the quality of service a customer receives after paying over $5k worth of work on a brand new car.
This resulted in me having to take it back the week after during work hours I had to take off to get the door cups done with ppf and to fix the tints that were not sticking.
As of the time of writing this it is the day after having dropped it off a second time and there’s still issues. Ppf bubbling by the headlight/bumper area, tint still has bubbles in corners of the driver side window which supposedly was fixed.
I emailed the store and spoke with the jack the manager of this location but those requests went unanswered. Also I was never compensated in anyway for the bad service I received which also went ignored.
I was informed by the person at the front desk they were the manager but they and that they would give my complaint to higher management but he was not even there for when I dropped the car off a second time.
I chose tint world for its global footprint and perceived professionalism with its services but I guess I got unlucky.
I should have went to darth shader to get this done instead. Now I have a 5k hole in my wallet that no one seems to care about at this location.
