This is a small store run by a sole proprietor who has been in the retail stereo industry for 60 years. They don’t make them like this anymore. This is not a big box store or a high end boutique. Bob has a handful of new items for sale - Yamaha, Denon and Music Hall (there may be more brands). However, the selection or rock bottom prices are not why you should patronize Turntables Unlimited. You should visit to meet Bob, the owner, who has more experience in the industry than just about anyone in town. You can do your research and read every review out there, but talking to a seasoned expert cannot be replaced. Also, the store is a mini museum of audio and hifi over the decades. He can show you some great old stuff - most is not for sale - and tell you about how and why it was different or better than the prior model. I recommend you visit, learn and buy, if it makes sense for you. But don’t make the trip expecting a wide selection, clearance prices, a fancy store or slick...
