Valvoline Instant Oil Change — Attraction in Altamont

I'm typically not one to leave a bad review gag, but it literally seems and feels as if these "employees" had malicious intent towards the vehicle we brought in to have serviced. Let me explain that I'm leaving this review after trying to return to the scene of the crime for some kind of resolve to this issue during business hours only to be shunned with snarky smart ass remarks leaving us even more frustrated. Normally oil changes are something easy enough to complete in minutes outside on the freezing ground getting covered in corrosive dirty ice cubes in the middle of the night, unless you have an oil filter type that requires a little more attention that these, "professionals" did not obviously want to give considering they did not change the oil filter, or even drain the old oil, they just topped it off and gave us a sticker and shat us out the other side and shut the garage door. That was our experience that they charged us way too much money for. So now we have to do it again ourselves and pay the same amount we paid them originally. So, no, will not return, or recommend anyone bring their car there unless they want it to blow...

I've taken my vehicles here probably 30 times. Everything was great 28 of those times. On the last oil change, I experienced the following: No more camera/screen to see what is going on. Being told the air filter that I changed out 2 weeks prior was "filthy and needed to be replaced." The radiator mount splash guard is now broken right in half (could have happened on the road, but with the oil drain plug also now seeping, I'm assuming their tech was forceful with his tool on the drain plug, which in turn cracked the splash guard). Tire pressures not checked because the green caps indicate Nitrogen. That was all on a model 2016 vehicle with 13k miles. A few years ago, they put +32 washer fluid in another one of my cars, in the middle of winter, which in turn cracked the reservoir when it froze. The convenience of these guys are great when they actually do their job and not try to upsale you; when they are careless, it's going to cost you additional money to fix...

This is the place that never disappoints! They have an amazing staff with the GOLD STAR going to David. What a mensch this young man is.

He is personable, knowledgeable, witty, fun, intelligent, capable and unfortunately leaving in a few months.

Sigh.

But for now he is totally rocking the Mothership and providing us lucky customers with FIVE STAR SERVICE! I can’t say this for the morons at Jiffy Lube down the street. What a group of total troglodytes they are. If you want the “bend over special” JL is your place.
