This review is more so towards the lady who saw me first. This DMV is pretty fast and clean. The 2nd lady who saw me was wonderful.
The first lady I saw (never got her name either) but had a tattoo that said "Sandra" on her right arm and worked at window 10. I came in to simply get an updated VA driver's license and register my out of state vehicle from KS to VA since I came back from the Army. She asked me for my birth certificate and social security card (not my VA Drivers License which I had on me) and then proceeds to tell me that she couldn't help me because I have nothing in my name for proof of address and she turns me away.. I leave pretty flustered since I have all the documents I need on hand. Birth certificate, DD-214, VA DL, SSN Card, KS vehicle registration, Marriage Certificate, Vehicle Insurance and etc. My wife goes to the same window (10) for the same thing; updating her license for change of address. She wasn't asked for anything regarding proof of address. Which by the way, I live with my wife AT THE SAME ADDRESS. She just showed her VA ID and filled out an application. I then question her as to why she was able to get her info completed but not me and her response was "She was on my system, you are not". Well you can't see if I'm in the system if you don't ask for my VA Drivers License or check my VA birth certificate to verify. Needless to say, this "Sandra" lady was trying to blame me for not providing my VA ID when she never asked and said this whole situation could have been "avoided" if I showed her my license. She had quite an attitude and told me to go to window 11. Check the cameras as a reference if you need to.
After the exchange, the lady at window 11 assisted me and was absolutely wonderful. I was at her counter for maybe 15 min max. Her hair was either pink or green, can't remember but she was great. Thank you so much to the...
Read moreI've been to this location quite a few times. When I came to get my real ID I ended up having to come back three times because employees kept telling me only a fraction of the things I needed to get the real ID. Ended up spending nearly 8 hours back and forth from the DMV to get the proper documents with different employees.
Now I show up to renew one of my vehicles registration. They have a screen where they can see all vehicles that are registered to you. I didn't realize that my other vehicle had a past due registration. The employee could have simply reminded me that my other vehicle is due for registration, but she didn't for whatever reason. So I came back today to get the other vehicle registered and of course as always the employee was cold and displayed zero customer service skills whatsoever. The DMV needs to be privatized, there is zero competence at the DMV and this location is just another pathetic example of a poorly run...
Read moreFor a DMV visit, it wasn't that bad at all. I'm very thankful for the DMV worker that heard my story about what I was going through taking care of my elderly mother and helping me get in for my license as soon as possible so I didn't get into trouble taking her to her doctor appt. Of I knew her name, I would have written a letter of appreciation and sent it to her and her supervisor praising her efficiency and coordination of resources and the DMV customer service worker that processed 3 titles, did my driver's test and worked through all of my paperwork in order for me to get my license back, a big thank you and God bless you for all you did to help me get my situation straightened out. This was by far the best DMV experience I have ever had and I rate this location on a scale of 1 to 100 a big 110. Thank you for all your help and time spent getting my license straight. Merry Xmas to you all and...
