I go to the market religiously every Saturday with my dog by my side. Parking has never been an issue, we like to park a little farther away to get a good walk in. The rainy day option is still wonderful! The vendors are all so kind and helpful. There is a wide variety of vendors too…baked goods, true bakery, plants, art, local meat and produce, coffee, chowder, oils/candles. The information tent is nice because you can find the schedule of events printed and grab a reusable (free) bag as well! We always end our visits by going to gangsta dog. Just a wonderful weekly routine that I wouldn’t want to change at all, some weeks we don’t walk away with any purchases…and we enjoy every minute of the market...
Read moreWonderful little farmer's market. Hot drinks, cold drinks, breakfast, early lunch, fruits, veggies, baked goods, a few craft vendors & one annoying lady selling vacation packages. Don't let that dissuade you though. This is dog friendly, as is most of Yorktown. We were particularly drawn to the large fruit & veggie stand at one end & a baked goods one (Our Fairy Tale Bakery) at the other end. Read moreThe Yorktown Wine Festival was great fun. We enjoyed the wine tastings, the food vendors and live music. Our only disappointment was the lack of seating and/or tables for the basic-ticket peons (us, for example). The seating and tables were for those who paid the extra. They were also privy to the tree shade and benches. Next year, should we opt to go, we'll tote our folding chairs and sit in the shade of a food...
