There is no better family friendly place in the area than the Yorktown Waterfront. It's amazing here! It's quaint, full of history, clean sand, safe waters, beautiful landscaping, plus the marina with all kinds of boats; the Coleman Bridge is all lit up at night & there is usually a beautiful sunset/sky over the bridge. There's a separate park for grilling & get togethers, & a long pier for fishing, etc. There's also great food (on the expensive side), & free concerts, activities all year long. There are cool places to explore like the mini caves & hidden paths. I wish I lived here year round! Another cool thing is how many families with kids were still playing on the beach & in the sand after 9pm! We were on paddle boards late into the night, it was so beautiful. I could have been in the Caribbean! There's also a Mariners museum & everything is well taken care of & kept very clean. I love it here so much!

On the downside there is no playground in the park area & parking can be difficult. The roads are narrow & things can be expensive. Also, no pets are allowed on the beach so that really is a bummer. I think they're allowed in the park area though &...

Yorktown Beach is a beautiful and peaceful spot, perfect for a relaxing visit. I went during the off-season, and while it wasn’t crowded, it was still a great place to explore and enjoy the scenery. The beach itself was clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasant place to walk along the shore.

There’s also a nice walking path, which is perfect for a leisurely stroll while taking in the views. One of my favorite things was the abundance of shells—there were so many scattered along the sand, making it a great place for beachcombing.

Whether you’re visiting for a day in the sun or just looking for a quiet place to enjoy the water, Yorktown Beach is a wonderful spot to relax and take in the...

Thank you, Yorktown Beach, for a wonderful couples walkout on the beach... ⛱️

We really enjoyed "National Walking Day" out on the Riverwalk of Yorktown beach. And a great place to spend time boat watching with serenity views of cruise ships sailing along the River... 🛳

We rated your beach a "DIAMOND" 💎 Studded family experience because of the nostalgic beach atmosphere of maritime PubTaverns, restaurants, and small business shops. 'And family-friendly festive venues of all-4-seasons, as well...

Thanks again, Yorktown beach. Will definitely come back again to go on tour, around the lovely Riverwalk Yorktown's history tourist attraction...
