Eastern Mountain Sports — Attraction in Conway

While I like this store, it's definitely not as good as it used to be. I'm sure they were trying to save money by moving to this new smaller store, but that's the problem. It's too small. They often don't have on hand the gear I'm looking for and it's hard to walk around the store to browse for items. Everything is jammed in there. And they charge a ridiculous amount of money to have an item shipped. Why can't they offer free shipping to the store to make up for the lack of gear in the small store? I wonder if this store will close now that REI has come to town and are in the old EMS...

Stopped in tonight to buy a new ski mask and asked the woman behind the counter if they also happened to sell any products like Advil or Tylenol she stared and me coldly said “No” and continued to stare at me. I felt extremely weirded out so took my business elsewhere. I like EMS have been to this location before but geez lady pick a different profession if you hate your job that much 🤷🏻‍♀️your super unfriendly attitude lost any future...

Small store but that is not why I gave it 2 stars. The customer service was lousy. I went in looking for hiking boots and the staff was less than helpful. Sure they got me the size I asked for, but that was about it. They were not engaging at all, not what I expected for an EMS. After I tried on one pair I left in disgust. No one even said goodbye - I could see if they were busy, but it looked like more staff than customers...
