Public Storage — Attraction in Copperas Cove

Went here the other day to get a unit. I told them upfront that I needed a unit with 24 hour access. They said fine, I filled out the paperwork and paid the initial $50, it dropped to $30 because I had my own lock and insurance. They then showed me an inside unit, down a hallway, that smelled of mold, and I explained that I needed a unit I could drive up to, and unload my truck. They showed me a few outside units. I found one to my liking. Then they told me that it was only accessible from during the day. I told them again, that I needed 24-hour access. Then they informed me that they don't have an outside unit with 24-hour access. So, I cancelled the rental. However, they decided to keep my money. I called today to find out why the charge hadn't be credited back to my account, and after talking to several people, and eventually someone they told me was a supervisor, Kevin, they all said that they weren't able to refund my money for a rental that didn't actually happen. BEWARE shady business practices, and a lack of integrity. When they knew, up-front, what I needed, they should have told me then that they didn't have it. Just going to shine truth on this store. Apparently the manager Paula Majette waits for locks to be cut for auction and before auction she steals any furniture or things she claims valuable from the storage unit. If you were to check her Facebook you would see countless items that are up for sale. That she pockets. Just a forewarning to anyone giving her their business. She allows a drug abuser to sleep in the parking lot knowing they steal and demolish the property. She also knows before auction since it is a private matter now that she can get away with selling these individuals things. And when asked for footage they cannot provide any. When in all actuality they can she just wants to cover her tracks. U-Haul storage and Amy's attic have plenty of cameras and do not do these things. As for Cubesmart. They have great camera system and security system only downfall is the lack of units available. If you want storage the 24 hour access will be what sells it. But hands down you can not trust your belongings here. And I say this as someone who witnesses it on her offer up account and her Facebook page. I originally thought this place was great until I realized they were nice just because they wanted the good reviews glad I never gave them one. Let me tell you these folks don’t care about you or anything other than money. I paid my payment for the month have the statement from my bank where it cleared to them and everything and I was told they did not receive payment and I will not be able to get into my storage until they received the now higher payment. When I said I will not be making a double payment when I’ve already paid the lady tells me “ then it looks like you won’t be getting your things” well looks like I got my things. My issue is she did not care did not want to help she was just flat out rude and that’s only when someone finally answered the phone. If I could give this place negative stars I would. This place is also disgusting I have to separate all of my stuff and get all the spiders the spider eggs geckos ants and roaches out of my things.
