I moved into Kensington Park on 8/4/2021.
FLOOR PLAN: The Blue Stone 2 bed 2 bath. Approximately 1,030 square feet. 2nd Foor. Washer Dryer hook- up in unit. The floor plan beautiful I love they layout of my apartment. Enough room my small family.
Pest Control: Pest control services are offered routinely on Tuesday. The first night in the apartment I notice a bug on the ceiling. I initially thought the bug was a fly. The next day saw the bug again. While my infant daughter was crawling on the floor I noticed a dead roach on the floor. I reported this to the apartment staff on duty at the time. She said I would be added to the list for pest control on Tuesday. In the main bedroom, I saw what I believed to be bedbugs. I reported the possible bedbugs sighting to the office staff. I also wrote down my concerns about pest on my move inspection list. 8/10/2021 I waited for pest control, they never showed. I called the office. I was told, the pest could not spray, my apartment because of the possibility of bedbugs. Bedbugs Inspection was scheduled for 8/19/2021. Inspection was done, and the findings was " Baby Roaches" and not bedbugs. Again I was scheduled for pest control the following Tuesday 8/24/2021. Again the pest control did not show up. I contacted the office. I was informed of staffing issues within the pest control company. On 8/25/2021 I was contacted by Nacy stating the company would come to apartment 8/25/2021 to spray for roaches. Again I waited for them to show up, but they did not. The date is 8/30/2021. I am still living in an apartment infested with roaches. It is very unfortunate to be moved into an apartment infested with roach. 8/31/2021 I was notified Kensington Park staff they will be switching pest control companies, due to failure to compete pest control orders. The company was documenting completions of order, but not actually spraying the apartments. Office staff was not aware of this until it was brought to their attention. That the Pest control company was making false documentation. New Pest control company sprayed my kitchen, laundry room, and hallway closet on 9/1/2021. Stating a" BAD infestation" behind refrigerator. Will return for second visit in a couple weeks to spray whole apartment. 11/ 11/ 2021 Apartment still infested with roaches.
Community: Very quiet, calm environment. I have not had any issues with the residents in this complex. Safety and security. The main gate entrance is often open on the weekend. Allowing anyone access to the community. Parking, is crowed. Parking Garage are limited first come first served. Carports are poorly located.
School: School district is Lake Dallas Independent School District. Corinth Elementary school is located, less than 2 miles away from the school. The school provides a crossing guard to help students get across the main streets exiting the apartment.
Cleanliness: Trash can often be found rolling around the ground of the apartment complex by vollball court. Trash compacter fully operational at this time.
Work Order: 8/30/2021, I reported the piping under my sink busted, causing flooding my kitchen area. At this current time I am unable to use sink / dishwasher. 10/2/2021, My work order has not been completed. A pot is holding my sink together . Work order completed 10/30/2021.

Read moreI have lived at this property on 2 occasions. A few years back, not bad at all and very satisfied! April 2025, not so much. I applied and accepted an apartment which was never available to be toured or seen. We were always told "It is not ready and will not be ready until closer to your move in date" when asked to see the apartment prior to our move in date. This carried on until the day before my move in date. The day before our scheduled move in date, I contacted the leasing office asking to see the apartment. We were told the cleaners had not cleaned and would not clean until the morning of move in. Having movers scheduled to move me already, I had no choice but to trust the apartment would be ready. Upon receiving our keys on our scheduled move in date, we entered the unit along with our movers only to find the apartment dirty, dusty, mold and mildew on window seals, filth everywhere. We immediately contacted the office and maintenance came and wiped down mold/ mildew from window seals, repairing cabinets and fixing things that should've been completed prior to our move in. There was no cleaning done and a smell of moisture. Later that evening we began to see roaches all in the kitchen, laundry room, bedrooms and even inside the refrigerator. Maintenance immediately swapped out the refrigerator with one in much better condition. The office was contacted immediately and we were told pest control would be out to sprav on the following Tuesday due to it being the scheduled day for them to come. Over the weekend we noticed there was not only roaches but a major infestation. Tuesday came and pest control entered the apartment and exited 2 minutes later. After "treating" we noticed the infestation continued. All office staff denied any reports of an infestation from the prior residents. I'm sorry but an infestation does not happen overnight! Maintenance placed sticky pads in various locations throughout the apartment. Wednesday following pest control on Tuesday, the sticky pads were full of roaches. We then complained again and requested another apartment. We toured another apartment in a different building and was greeted during the tour by a roach scaling the wall. Pictures were taken and shown to the office staff. "Confused" they accepted our declining of the unit and offered another unit in yet another building. This apartment appeared to be larger (rent increase) and cleaner but dead roaches were found on the frame of the refrigerator. I asked maintenance if there was a possibility the roaches found dead on the frame of the fridge were possibly moved into the unit while swapping it. The answer he gave was "NO, when an appliance is removed from a unit, it is discarded." We agreed to move to the unit in hopes to get an immediate solution to the problem but NO! The apartment must've had to be rebuilt because it still was not ready to move into after 2 weeks of additional bombing and poor communication. We requested compensation for movers and they were "approved" by corporate. After the long wait for the completion of the 3rd unit we decided just to leave and find another complex. We then requested to terminate our lease and was granted our request. That request came with conditions! By moving away from the property NO COMPENSATION for movers were honored. So much personal property and furniture had to be discarded. No deposits were returned or any compensation of any type was given. Now that I have an attorney involved and I have completed my move, I ADVISE ANYONE TO TOUR AND CHECK THE UNITS PRIOR MOVE IN AND NEVER FALL FOR THE "WE HAD NO COMPLAINTS IN THE PAST" There's a review from the unit I was assigned from years ago with the exact same complaints and NOTHING has been done! There is newer and more reasonably priced apartments in the area. ROACHES INFESTATIONS, MOLD, MILDEW, FLOODING IN THE 900 building is REAL! IT IS...
Read moreI wish I could have given it a 0 star. Never lease from Kensington Apartments. When I first moved in the apartments Sep. 2018 it was dirty with animal hair in the cabinets, refrigerator, and bathrooms. I requested to have it clean and the Manager Danielle gave me a hard time stating " you've lived there for over a month" when in actuality I had been in the apartment for 3 days. I don't own animals because my daughter is highly allergic. Clue number one that I should have not leased with this complex. A few weeks to a month later after arriving home from work there was never any parking spots available. I would call the courtesy officer and request to have the cars towed. I would sit in my car and wait for the tow to get the spot. No tow. I would have to park almost out of the complex. During the winter season it was worst walking in the cold multiple nights 5 buildings away. Second clue that I should have never leased from complex. Every so often the complex sends out text messages that cars will be towed however they never do and I've called on multiple occasions to have cars with no sticker towed. Currently I work multiple jobs to ensure that the complex is paid $1200 in rent every month never late and I had to park in the handicapped spot because there was no spots available in the complex after getting home at 1am from work. My car was towed. I accept that I was in a handicapped spot but in a complex that I pay $1200 per month where there were no spots. The car to the right of me has a handicapped sticker and parked in a regular spot, the car to the left of me had an awning sticker and parked in a regular spot. I reached out to the courtesy officer to find my car I'm told " I'm out of town here's the number to call". I explained that I've called on multiple occasions and no one else car has been towed. No explanation. He explained ill reach out to Danielle but it'll be later this afternoon. I explain I'm from Alabama sir and this will not work. To put the icing on the cake I walked to the front office and explained the situation(Danielle stayed in her office after I know the courtesy officer called her until I began explaining how nasty these apartments are and I won't lease again), I was told you should not have parked in handicapped just as you cannot in America, thank you for you monthly payment but I cannot guarantee you a parking spot unless you buy an awning sticker(which are filled nightly by those who don't have a sticker), and if you did call and no other cars were told its because the towing company was on another call and just couldn't get to the call you made. I explained that I have dark tints and someone had to get out and look to see if I have a sticker. I asked so they get out and look at every car every night. Danielle explained they have pictures of your car however never answering the question about getting out to look at every car every night because I know the answer they don't. This was not a coincidence! Let me just say Never! Never! Lease from here. I have never been to a complex where you have to fight for a spot and you pay $1200 in rent every month. Its one me with one car and to be told sorry get home early or buy an additional sticker is unacceptable. Believe all of the negative reviews. I never leave reviews but Leaser Be Aware! I take ownership of parking in a handicapped spot however I'm in a complex where I pay rent not on the street, my car was towed 30 minutes after I got home, the area is never patrolled which just doesn't seem like a coincidence, and there was no parking at all. I have placed three maintenance orders that they have yet to come and fix. I will not be renewing my lease at this nasty and racist complex. This complex homes are empty for a reason( the lot is full due to others that don't lease here)! Future Leasers Leave...
