Looks like a great local tackle shop but I’ve tried a few times to get in and had no luck. This is the first time I’ve been turned down as a customer because the shop had too many people inside and waiting outside. i thought this was weird because there was like 8 people inside and 4 people outside. I understand staff availability can be tough and I don’t blame the employee working but seriously there was around 3-4 people who were straight up waiting outside. I came during a break from school and work and the employees were on lunch so they weren’t available from 2-3pm. When I came back at 3pm, I was told to either wait outside or leave because the employees felt like they had a heavy work load. Although the employee was real friendly, it was a really disappointing experience and I don’t plan on returning unless I got an 1hr or 2 to wait around before shopping. When I asked the employee if service is usually like this, he responded and told me that they are understaffed and some of their staff is on vacation so days usually look like this. Kinda frustrating but not really anyone’s fault, I will be sticking to the...
Read moreJust wanted to write a review about an EXCELLENT interaction at the checkout counter. Bought some senkos and worm hooks. I usually like smaller worm hooks because I mostly wacky rig but sometimes mess around with texas rigs.
Gentleman at the counter looks at the hooks, asks "hey man, you might want to go bigger on the hooks with these worms. they're the same price." I mention that I'm intending on wacky rigging most of the time, he immediately says "oh you should be fine, I thought you might be texas rigging."
The fact that he was paying attention to the exact hook size and worm length of what I bought, maybe a $10 purchase, is exemplary customer service. If this is the level of attention and thought they put into small sales, I'm sure they must be excellent to deal with when discussing rods and reels. When I finally decide to make it big and upgrade from my ugly stik, I know where...
Read moreFirst impressions when you walk into this place can be overwhelming since it is literally a warehouse full of all kinds of fishing accessories you didn't even know you needed. I was looking at the fishing rods when I was approached by Brad whom asked to let him know if I needed anything. I told him I was looking for a new bass rod and also a new trout reel. I told him my price range and he right way started recommending what he thought was a good fit for my needs. I ended up buying a nice trout reel and bass rod. I came here because I read about the great customer service and they lived up to it. I will definitely be coming here...
