Very friendly people. Have payment options if you happen to be in sonoma county and not rich. Not very honest.
Just had my brakes go out. Needed new rotors and pads. I am not a car guy. I am the only income for a family of 5. They quoted me. I asked if there were cheaper parts. They said no so I approved.
Mind you I was needing my car fixed badly for work. And was at work when they called qoute to me. However after I approved and picked up my car I had time to do research. They quoted me the absolute most expensive parts on the market for my vehicle and lied when they told me those where the only options. Everywhere I called after the fact laughed at me and pointed out all my pads and rotors should have cost a little over what they charged for 1 rotor.
Not a car guy I'm a computer guy...
Less then 30 days later and no hard braking the brakes screech when applied and squeak when accelerating... go find a real mechanic not these con artists
10/5/2017 edit The company has called me and apologized, they state this was a training issue with the sales person, they state they have coached this person and are refunding me the money for the difference in what I wanted and what I got. They have offered me a fair resolution and...
Read moreIt's in the nature of auto mechanics to Up-sell. Unless we are also mechanics we're helpless to determine the truth of a vehicle's condition. My tow driver took my Jeep to McLea's for the replacement of a crank shaft position sensor. I got an email from them containing a lot of photos of every aspect of my car, displaying what's wrong with this, that and the other. They replaced the sensor, the Jeep started OK and I drove it home. On my way home I got a call from the mechanic. "By the way," he said, "your Transfer Case is leaking and needs to be looked at. Don't put the car into four wheel drive." He tells me this on the phone? What if I had put it into 4WD? I don't much care for McLea's. They're aggressive beyond the ordinary in their methods of marketing. They are good mechanics, I'll give them that much. They're also good at scaring people into more repairs. Cars always need repairs. They're cars! Enough, already, McLea's. I think you owe me a transfer case repair. Or pay for the one I'm getting now from Rohnert Park...
Read moreTLDR: took over an hour to do a job that should take 20 minutes with no warning about the excessive wait. I called regarding having a flat patched at 1:52 pm and was told that I should make an appointment. I made an appointment for 3pm. I arrived early at 2:55 to fill out paperwork. At 3:35 I became concerned about time and asked about when my vehicle would be ready. I finally got my keys at 4:05. The padlock for the cable that secures the spare was STILL ATTACHED TO MY KEYS (meaning they had not replaced it) and the valve cap was missing from the tire on which they'd worked. They offered to get me another valve cap but I was already running late and didn't want to wait what might be another 20 minutes for this small piece of plastic. The lack of respect for the customer's time is appalling. This business needs to appropriately staff for their workload or warn people about longer service times. If I had been told that it would take three times longer than it should (I was billed for 20 minutes of labor), I would have taken my...
