South Beach — Attraction in Crescent City

It's a strip of sound right off the street feels like something you'd come across in San Diego or the southern coast.. until you realize how easily you can be standing in front of the ocean watching the sunset here collecting beautiful rocks finding countless snd dollars. Well the pinks and purples of the sun sleep cycle reflect off the ocean like a mirror... It's the most obtainable piece of breathtaking of come across in the Pacific Northwest and I got a lot more to look forward to.. Nice sandy public beach, free parking, dog friendly, horse friendly, popular surfing spot. Easy to launch kayaks or paddle boards. Vehicles on beach ok if you buy a permit. Seldom crowded, but gets packed on July 4th. This is a swim beach, so no motorized vessels in the swim area if people are present. Excellent beach. We will most likely go back. My only complaint is the only way down from Anchor road is way up by the other road. The waves were coming in nice and shallow and there was plenty of sand to play in. While it was cold and cloudy when we went that was our own fault, we knew the weather wasn't great that weekend.
