Besides the homemade tortillas that make up the pan fried tacos that was the only okay thing out of the whole experience. Upon ordering, I was informed it would like 20-25mins for a to go order. Well, It actually took 53mins to be exact. I atleast figured some chips and salsa could have been offered, but nope. The carne asada was bland and finely diced into really small pieces, the shredded beef was dry and the tacos were greasy. I don’t understand the hype of this place. I surely also don’t understand the operations of the establishment. If you know your establishment is very busy on summer weekends, and/or holiday weekends, you should be better prepared for the influx of hungry people. Maybe prepare food in advance? Staff more people? Offer complimentary chips and salsa at minimum when the wait time is excessive? Providing good customer service means going above and beyond to create the best overall experience from start to finish. Hope to see some improvements for other...
Read moreWe pulled over driving through Crescent City, thinking this would be a quick stop. But for some reason, it took over 45 minutes to make 8 tacos for our group, with them being cold when served to us to go. I was about to drive off after 30 minutes as we had an appointment to make, but the counter girl kept saying they would be ready soon, and when we finally told her to just give us what was ready, she said no and we had to wait again.
The taste was mediocre, when compared to other California taco trucks, which take less than 5 minutes to take an order, and serve food. I could have literally walked to the grocery store and made 8 tacos quicker and they would have been hot when I ate them. There was no less than 5 people in the kitchen cooking, and when we arrived, there wasn't that many people there. We would most definitely not stopped here if we knew how long these tacos take. Not sure what happened here, but that taste wasn't good enough for me to consider eating...
Read moreThe food was very good and tasty, no complaints and love little burrito stands on the corner of the main road. Though they also have an indoor dining area which will hopefully reopen soon.
The main thing though I want to highlight is the absolutely massive Super Burrito you get for only $9.50. It's literally the biggest burrito I've ever had, and I audibly laughed when I unwrapped it from the foil. I mean, I could feel how heavy the to go bag was, but opening it up and seeing it bigger then my head was a treat.
It was very good too, and filled me up the entire day where I was hiking before and after to the point when I got into a new city on my road trip I went to a pizza joint and had to ask for the smallest pizza size possible because the burrito was still suppressing my appetite from its...
