This is an Antique store, not a Thrift store— Can’t stress this enough. There is already a big difference between the two. If you see this, then you may already know that antique stores are often a little more pricey than thrift stores. Regardless of this, Sylvia’s attic, being an antique store and all, is not as pricey as MOST antique stores I’ve ever been to. That in itself makes me enjoy going there the most out of any nearby antique store, and there’s quite a bit of space and things that is presented there so you can probably get lost looking at everything. I don’t go as often as I wish I could, but each time I do I always purchase something nice for far less than what it could have been priced for. Anyways, me and my grandma both enjoy going there and the lady has always...

She has a large variety of items that are priced less than retail, not as cheap as a thrift store but has better selection and not dirty. Very clean, not a big dusty mess like some second hand stores. She is very sensitive to perfume so please consider this....for the person who was shocked she made them leave. She could sell more if she priced a little lower, I agree there, but she does have a lot of overhead in electricity and upkeep of the building. We don't have enough second hand and thrift stores so I am glad Sylviua's attic is there. I have gone there specifically to look for an item I don't want to buy new, and she often has something to...

I can go to any thrift store and buy the SAME books for $.25 to $1.00 when she has a $3, $5, or even $10 price on it. (In fact, I did - I saw a particular Stephen King book today she had for $10 - I bought THE SAME BOOK, in better condition, a few blocks away at the Purple Cat for $1, 20 minutes later.)
Her pricing is SO out of touch with reality that I won't be wasting my time here again.
It is an impressive place, if you have time to kill it is worth checking out - but I wouldn't waste your money here unless you find something you won't see...
