Take all these reviews with a grain of salt, wine conissuers on a beer budget. Or they were forced to stay here cause no other hotel I found in this area allows dogs, this does not warrant a bad review. Having to move the bed to open the fridge is an exaggeration. Tight quarters yes but the fridge door opened fine. I used my fridge and I was pleased to find 1 King not 1 Queen to work around as advertised. It's not new construction, yes I did smell a tiny miniscule odor of mold 1 time. Aired the room out and it was gone. I'm allergic to mold but my allergies didn't bother me and I stayed 3 nights! An odor, if it were actual mold or dangerous I would not have woken rested with a clear nose all three mornings. My TV worked too but I only turned it on once before muting. Mind you I was on my first three day trip to the Redwoods. I only needed my room to sleep, and shower. Yes the live front desk staff was on Zoom inside a tiny room you get into by identifying yourself outside on a Ring cam. Great, no one can hear check in details and by not employing on-site desk staff my cost is reduced. I asked the secretary over Zoom while checking in several times for my room number. She would only tell me that my room number and wifi password were both printed on the small receipt paper that came out of the machine. Since I'd already stuffed it in my pocket she printed another paper for my guest with room number and wifi. Not open airing my room number was for the safety of my guest and I, much appreciated. Then the hotel provided a second room key(card) for my guest. From my experience this is not the norm, especially at no extra charge(I would have paid for a second key). This was my favorite part about the three day stay, we didn't have to stay connected at the hip! Doors are locked from the outside by closing the door. Once inside there were two more locks. I got to park my car right out front. I didn't see one single questionable individual; appreciated the open dumpster in the back for tossing trash. My dog reports incurring a $15/night fee, and a full return of her $100 damage deposit. Yes I'll stay here again and you should too. If you're looking for a place to live or watch TV you may have different parameters. This review is in terms of an "Inn", or a hotel. A place for a quiet night of sleep, not an apartment or a place to hang out during the day...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting, the moment I walked in I could smell mold. The shower curtain was stained and the shower floor had black something in it. The base boards were broken and there was stuff on the walls and doors. I looked around and was able to even see the mold. The tv would turn on and there was sound but no picture and the remote would only turn the tv on and off. We slept above the covers because the bed just felt like it was leaving a residue on our skin. My door also wouldn’t work with the key, it only worked to get in the night I showed up. I left my daughter in the room while I got my stuff in my car and came back to not being able to open it I ran to the ring camera and got buzzed in to talk to the kiosk and got a new key ran back and still could not get into the room, at this point I had to call the police to get me into the room they also tried getting multiple key cards and they all didn’t work. The officer finally told the kiosk guy to call someone to bring a key. The manager showed up and instead of first opening the door to get my daughter out as I get sobbing and very panicked she asked the officers if they had asked for my ID and she then asked if I could get it out for her I grabbed it but insisted for her to open the door first. She opened the door with the master key card and had the audacity to look at the two officers and myself and say it works just fine. (Mind you we in total got 4 cards that all did not work) My daughter had been trying to open the door but instead pushed the dead bolt over, the manager went and called her maintenance guy who was 5 minutes out to come and get it open. She informed us of this and then disappeared. The officers were then able to find something to get the window open and we got her out. The manager was still no where in sight. She had no sympathy for what I had just went through and I canceled my second night there and asked for a refund. I spent $205 for this room and only got $87 back I understand I had to pay for the one night I stayed but considering the condition of the room which I informed her of and the fact that my room was the only room that had issues getting in (there were other people there getting in and out of their rooms just fine) you would think I’d at least get half of what...
Read moreNightmare experience. It's literally a drug motel. Very sketchy, and not clean either. I highly, HIGHLY, advise going to another hotel in the area. My girlfriend and I booked a room here online based on the overall rating and the pictures made it look clean. This place was nothing like what the pictures or description implied. Wish we had done more homework. I'm not sure where to begin here.||The moment we pulled up we began to realize the mistake we made. We pulled in around 9-10pm. There appear to be multiple occupants just sitting outside the rooms porch style, which would be fine except they were sketchy as hell and one guy was literally smoking either meth or crack out of a glass pipe and screaming. This didn't seem to phase any of the other occupants who were sitting outside smoking cigarettes.|Already wary, we go ahead and check-in. They tell us we're getting a smoking room and they have morning else available. Nowhere on their listing did it say smoking room. I have reviewed and looked over the listing multiple times. It does not say smoking, but I guess the catch is it doesn't say non-smoking either. Wow, well you guys got us there I guess.||So, we haven't even seen the room yet and it's already a terrible experience filled with red flags, but we were tired from a long day and we go to check the room. We park and walk to our room, ignoring the cats walking in and out of the tenants room next door. The door handle and lock is rusty, not clean at all. We open the door and I suppose we see some rendition of what they depict in their pictures online, but it certainly doesn't inspire confidence that we'd enjoy the night in a clean room. The smell of smoke was definitely substantial.||It really didn't feel safe or clean for us to stay here, so we immediately checked out and found another hotel. They would not refund us at all despite the false advertising on the smoking room. I told them this would reflect on their review and they said they didn't care.||I can say based on what I saw, that if you're looking for a budget hotel in the area, maybe consider the motel 6 down the street, they at least had a security officer parked there. I'm not sure what is going on in this town, but it definitely seems to have fallen...
