I received a gift card and decided to use it towards a facial this past weekend. While checking in the woman next to me was being told by the receptionist that her hundred of dollars worth of gift cards had been redeemed by other people due to how Woodhouse logged them in the system. The bizarre part was the receptionist refused to make right the situation and simply told the lady she was out money and nothing could be done. I had a physical gift card but still decided to ask my receptionist if she could check it. I was told it wouldnt be a problem because it was a physical card and would be fine at checkout. When finished with my service and I was at check out, I handed them my gift card and they informed me that someone else redeemed it- I had a zero balance. They go on to explain it happened because of the way they logged the gift card in their system. The 3 girls were honestly extremely rude about the entire thing- no sorry, no eye contact, obnoxious behavior really. I paid and still tipped the lady who did my facial +20% because she truly did a wonderful job. Woodhouse- my gift card was only $50. I left my service thinking I would certainly be back. After dealing with your front desk girls attitudes- never again. A word to the wise, a returning customer is a hell of a lot more valuable than $50. Especially when a mistake is your fault and the receptionist talk track is to explain how it was your mistake. Do something about it and teach your ladies how to treat customers better. They truly did ruin the experience for me and also for the lady that was there when I checked in. Extremely...
Read moreOne word.... LUXURIOUS!!!! And I'm gonna use that word a LOT in this review! I felt like a celebrity at this spa! My boyfriend bought me a massage and I was DEFINITELY treated to the most relaxing experience of my life. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed and taken care of! The LUXURIOUS robe, sandals, warm Sonoma neck wrap, and my MIMOSA in the relax room was almost ENOUGH for this exhausted single mom!!! I am actually super HAPPY I arrived 45 minutes early because I didn't realize how much I simply needed to unplug than sitting in that relax room with my eyes closed and meditating and not looking at my phone. The staff were warm and friendly. Explaining every little amenity to me that they offered. The changing room was... YOU GUESSED IT... LUXURIOUS!!! It offered everything you could need from hair ties, brushes, mouthwash, toothbrush and paste, lotion, and REAL hand towels. There is even a shower if you need it! The wooden lockers were wonderful to keep my belongings safely secured with a personal number to lock it up. My massage therapist was professional and respectful. She did a wonderful job making sure the pressure was right for me and taking her time on the areas that I expressed concern with. After my massage she offered to let me continue to unwind in the relax room again if I wanted or to the changing room. I never felt rushed. Just pampered.
Run... don't walk to Woodhouse Spa. This is going to become a regular LUXURIOUS treat for me. And... get there...
Read moreMy Meditative Mood soak was amazing. The Shirodhara Scalp Massage was not. I expressed this at check out as well as reaching out to corporate. The description of this service both online and in the brochure that was given to me for Christmas states: "This healing Ayurvedic treatment begins with warm oils that flow onto the center of your forehead to release mental tension and mind chatter. A soothing head and scalp massage follows to enhance this curative experience and encourage mindful energy flow."
The total head/scalp massage was no more than one minute. Half of the experience was laying there while a huge amount of canola oil was dripped onto my forehead and in my hair. There was a brief arm, leg and back massage after this. That part was not listed in the description whatsoever. The reason I booked this was for a head and scalp massage. I ended up a literal greasy mess without the service I believed I was paying for. This is a huge miss and I was beyond disappointed with the explanation at check out that it was "a different kind of service" and I should consider "other head/scalp additions next time". I am not a complainer but this is still bothering me. If I ordered a coat and was delivered a dress, there would be an issue. I ordered a head/scalp massage and not only did I not get that, I got a head full of oil.
I responded to the Crestview location as well as corporate and received...
