The blatant ageism shown by the employees at this store is unacceptable. My friends and I wanted to go in, but two of us are under 18. We are all in college, though, my friend having skipped three grades, and me having skipped two. The employees didn’t even care that our friends were 18 as they were not our “guardian.” For a toy store that claims to be a “learning express,” the next topic I believe they should learn is how to understand that not every kid is a behemoth, and some of us just want to experience the nostalgia of being in a toy store with the people we grew up with. We won’t be back, unless they’re ready to take a ride on the “learning express” and acknowledge we ARE with adults and WORK with adults, and LEARN with adults. How can you promote a positive learning experience for kids if you can’t even let them in your store?

My daughter called me from school because Learning Express restocked their Squishmallow supply. I rushed out the door as any good father would do. When I got there, to my surprise, there were 20+ people standing in the cold to buy these $16 balls of cotton. After what seemed to be an hour, because it was cold, but really about 10 minutes, I made it into the store and got what I went there for. The staff was super friendly even with all the crazy people. They made the process very easy.

Just stopped in to get picture book for a 1-year-old birthday party. Could not have been easier. Super helpful staff. They even gift wrap for free!! Locally owned, the owner even did the gift wrapping. What? This is as cool, old school as it gets. I cannot recommend this place enough. Lots of cool rare toys, candy and the biggest lava lamp selection I've ever seen. Really affordable prices. Go here before the big box store always. I'm a guy I can't gift wrap like this!!

This used to be a great and fun place! But they have hostile staff that made me feel like I was not meant to be there. Also, getting asked if I was eighteen and then when I offered to show my ID they at first didn’t respond, and then when I asked again said I didn’t need to. I don’t understand why they even implement the age rule if they aren’t even going to check it. Plus the hostile environment after was super weird- am I not allowed to look at legos as an eighteen year old? Absolutely disrespectful experience; I hope they change the rule and start performing under until they have friendly welcoming staff and actually let kids come into the store. Kids can’t go into a kids store at learning express. If kids are really causing a “ruckus” as one employee told me, don’t operate a kids store in a place where kids walk around; alternatively, remove the rubber chicken bin and it’ll probably be a little less loud! I hope this becomes the place I remember walking into as a kid with my...

I have always shopped at this store since I was a kid, and have always loved it. Today was the worst experience I have ever had in this store. When we first walked in we were first questioned about our age, which I get it’s a policy but the employees were very disrespectful when questioning us. Me and my friend both walked around just looking at different things talking about when we were kids which toys we loved. My friend got 1 thing which was fruit needoh, and when we walked out an employee ran out to us asking where my friend put something and accused us of stealing. This experience was just so disappointing and I will NEVER EVER be returning to this...
