The Body Alive staff is the best! The facility is great, always clean. Classes are tough! If you are thinking about HOT workouts, take it from me, this will help you achieve your fitness goals. I am a distance runner. The classes have helped with my balance, made it much easier to run relaxed, and along with a few other changes, I have cut a full minute of my average mile time. My last run was ten miles. Average pace was 9 mins 30 secs/mile. That is pretty fast for me! I was running times closer to 11 on shorter runs. (ran at that pace for years). I have also cut time on short distances. I am running 5k's in about 28 mins. It never occured to me, that I might be a contender in my age class. But now I can be. I can't wait for the 2023 Ultra Marathon season!
A massage therapist from Elite Massage and Pain Management (they are also awesome!) recommended yoga and pilates. My Chiro likes it too. Hot mat, hot room thought for sure I was to old for this, definitely gonna pass out from the heat,you know.. all the bad thoughts! I have a elbow replacement on top of it all. I made it through it and to be honest I never felt better! I wasn't pointed out for having to modify my position. The class trainer actually suggested it if it was needed. I FELT Proud of my self, accomplished and my whole mental state was clear after I left! I'm grateful I didn't talk myself out of it. The class that day was full to the max. It was nice to see I wasn't alone in this journey. Everyone there was there for the same reason! To accomplish a goal and to feel great afterwards. The cold Lavender towl at the end was rewarding. The class was paced. So if you want a good burn in the muscle but not a 5 mile run cardio this is a great workout. If your NOT signed up, don't walk! RUN to a computer and sign up.
