Kernel Kullman — Attraction in Cullman

I would love to have given this little place 5 stars. It is a great place, really makes you feel like you had stepped back in time, and if I based this review on that it would have gotten a 5 easily!! With that said, the employee that was there was the rudest person I have seen in a long time! Me and my daughter went in there cause we absolutely love places like this. When we walked in, there was no greeting at all for one. Second, while we were walking around looking you feel like you are being rushed. Then, when we got to the counter to order, my daughter wanted a chocolate strawberry milkshake,and the lady said " You want a chocolate strawberry milkshake?, I don't know how to make that, is that even on our menu? " ( This was said very rudely and with a disgusted look on her face) and we said yes ma'am, it's up there. She then turned around and went to ask how to do it apparently! So we tell her that we need another milkshake and that we also needed a root beer float! Again, with the digusted look and rudeness, the lady said " so she wants a milkshake AND a root beer float? " We said yes ma'am! So, as she made each one and handed them to us, we told her Thank You all 3 times and never got a Your Welcome or anything out of her, she just turned around and walked off! So, they really need to get someone that has a little bit of manners and respect for the customers since we are the ones keeping them open! Just a simple "Hi" would have been better than what we got!! It's a shame that places like this that a lot of people seem to enjoy has to be ruin because of rude...

I visited this establishment by referral from another local business because they claimed that KK had candy cigarettes in stock. I entered this business and was told that there was a two product limit. I couldn’t believe it. I happened to be on the phone with a friend who identified her as the owner. Her tone was rude and condescending. I was appalled at her abhorrent behavior. I will never enter this establishment again. Just for the record I found the items I was looking for on Amazon for much less. Needless to say I am a huge supporter of small businesses, and I hope to not have another encounter such as this. I have always enjoyed shopping for candy here The candy of choice for me was the triple dipped malted milk balls. Apparently I was not the only fan of these as they would frequently sale out of these. To my disappointment I was told by an employee that they no longer stocked these and only carried the typical style milk balls that are found at dollar stores and grocery stores. I hate to see that candy no longer stocked here. For my fellow triple dipped malt ball fans, they are available at The Cracker Barrel gift shop.
