This is a neat little park i had no idea existed until recently and have lived in the area for a while. I feel it could use some improvements though. To make kids more fit i noticed from our own kids and parks that have multiple playgrounds, is when they went they insisted on going to every single one. Taking Wingfoot Lake Park In Mogadore Ohio, Fred Fuller Park in Kent Ohio, and Water Works Park In Munroe Falls Ohio into account. Wingfoot was Goodyear Tires Park for employees before Mogadore acquired. This park has multiple playgrounds, amenities, putt putt golf, disc golf, paddle boats, swings, and supports many sports. If we made more parks like this park. Even if it was one type of playground on one side of a park and one on the other it would greatly improve kids exercise. Our kids wanted to go and see every playground when we went to these parks every time. Aka lots of walking and running and then climbing and or swinging etc. compared to a normal park. Especially if there are walking trails and scenery. Which is what they crave more as teens. More akin to Munroe Falls and Fred Fuller which offer most of that but have walking trails too. Thinking back though, this info could help cities immensely. Like this park in particular. It is extremely long and has many apartments surrounding it, but the playground is on the farthest side by the fire house, and could use more equipment in my honest opinion. Yet. If someone were to built that equipment on the other farthest side, it would not only accommodate the people on the farthest side, it would incentivize kids to want to see both too and use that longer portion to walk back and forth. Yet at the same time for the littlest ones and or disabled kids at the far end. It could sabe them a voyage all the way to the other side by the fire house. Which is quite a trek. This idea would give kids more to do and possibly more exercise... and give use to the middle areas that are just grass and trees currently. It could be a great segway to pour a walkway and have picnic benches between these two playgrounds too. Also you guys could put the simple pull in parking all the way down like you already do for the over flow of Portage Towers. Just a few observations i made from...
Read morePlayed little league there, my son played there too. It will always mean something to me for that reason. It's good to see the lower field has the green monster still intact lol. Has a nice playground for the little ones, picnic tables and concessions during baseball season. Oddly quiet setting given...

They have a plastic hammock that's fun to relax in. All the playground equipment is in working order and clean. I'd recommend this place for a nice...
