Happy Hour at Burntwood Tavern! #happyhour #cuyahogafalls #ohio #tatertots #sliders

I was very disappointed with my experience here. We wanted to go somewhere on the river tonight for dinner and with me being new to the falls, I like trying all the new places. The first part that sucked was they didn't have any outdoor dining going on. It's a beautiful day yet they weren't opening up their outdoor area and there are literally only a few tables inside with a view. So that was disappointing. It didn't start off too bad. We got the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer and that was pretty good. As for the entrees, that was an entirely different story. I ordered the fish and chips. I felt like we waited a decent amount of time for our food to come and when it did, it was cold. My fries were room temperature and a little soggy tasting. But my fish was horrible. It looked ok until you cut into it. The fish itself was cold, mushy and had no flavor whatsoever. But the breading was the big issue. It was too soft on the outside and there was layer of liquid batter between the fish and outer breading. I had to quit eating it after a few bites. Luckily they took it off our bill. My girlfriend got some California chicken sandwich. The chicken looked tiny and she said it wasn't good at all. My girlfriend assured me their breakfast food is much better so I'll cut them a little slack. But honestly, I have no intentions of ever going back here.

The good The riverside seating was awesome. We had a wonderful waitress, and the staff were all very polite. The calamari was small portioned, but very good. The lava cake was amazing we all liked it. The burger was awesome pricey, but still good I'll pay for good food. The bad The vegetables were burnt to inedible I tried. The salmon I thought was good, but the first piece had a bone in it. That was it for me if you've never had a fish bone stuck in your throat feel lucky. I have before, and never again nothing a doctor can do has to pass naturally. Normally we aren't ones to complain, but my wife did mention it to the waitress. Her response was we get that frequently. We get the salmon pre packaged so we don't check for bones they're supposed to come without. That kinda made me wish she wouldn't have mentioned it. My wife got the blackened chicken pasta that was not blackened. It was also inedible 70% of our plate was discarded for us. All in all I would not recommend probably try something else. Like I said it wasn't all bad, but for the price in this area you can do way better. 100$ bill wasted on bad main dishes, and you can get a same class burger many other places here half the price.

genuinely the worst experience i’ve ever had at a restaurant.

we went here for my boyfriend’s birthday- got seated and got our drinks ordered. our drinks came and they were good, then a bug flew into my boyfriend’s drink because the door to the patio was wide open the entire night.

i couldn’t find our waiter so we flagged someone else down to get it remade. no offer to take it off the bill which is whatever.

then 15 mins go by before we see our waiter again. we order an appetizer and get that fairly quickly. our waiter is busy most of the night flirting with the table behind us.

we ordered the chicken dijon and the chicken ala vodka. the seasonal veggies were basically inedible- rock hard and barely cooked. the chicken ala vodka was overall disgusting and definitely NOT worth the $23 i paid. my chicken was bone dry and difficult to cut. the pasta was overcooked and chewy.

we couldn’t even tell our waiter about the meal because he was MIA until the end of our meal when he just had us pay. i also requested a receipt which he seemed pissed about having to get, only for him to forget the receipt when he came back to flirt with the other table.

i think we saw our waiter a total of 5 times in the hour we were there and each time he seemed annoyed to “deal” with us.

a $90 dinner for horrible service, horrible food, and bugs. will never return and definitely won’t recommend this place to anyone. go to leo’s social- you’ll have a better time for about...

This was quite honestly the first time I had ever tipped under 20%. Our server had dark hair, pale skin, and a white shirt on, but we never got her name since she didn’t introduce herself. She waited over ten minutes to greet our table, came back after twenty minutes to tell us she didn’t put in our appetizer, and that was the most communicative she was through the whole dining experience. The rest of our time there, multiple other people ran her food and she never checked back with us. Drinks went I filled for an hour when she saw my boyfriend eating his ice lol. She ignored our menus and plates until the end of our dining experience, where she tried to take plates I wasn’t done with. What was weird was that she was there the whole time like less than 10ft away from us, so she could easily see us sitting there and needing stuff. Instead, she seemed to be getting argumentative with her coworkers loudly in the middle of the restaurant talking about closing procedure. We arrived at 8 and could’ve been done by 8:30 if she didn’t consistently forget about us, that’s not terribly close to close for a two top that barely got anything. I don’t know man her demeanor was so off and almost irritating- as a manager of a restaurant myself I was just shocked at the lack of standards for service. The most helpful person was the host that was able to get me one soufflé cup of balsamic when I tried to nicely ask our server and...

I’ve been to multiple locations and my visit today really put a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve never had an issue with the service but todays was just comical of terrible it was. When we arrived 3 people asked if we had been helped but once we sat down is where the problems started. In a full dining room my boyfriend and I waited 15 minutes for our server just to say hello, we were minutes from walking to the bar instead. Once our server finally arrived we were ready order, it took another 8 minutes to get 2 waters. Our server had the surrounding tables that did not appear to be needy, nor was mine but I digress. Once we received our food, I was nearly out of water and asked for syrup for my brunch meal once he came around as another server dropped off our meal. The surrounding tables received refills and other requests while still waiting for mine.(same server) I received my refill when my boyfriend was in the restroom, although not present his more than half full glass received a refill before me, the person eating and the actual empty glass. Everything we asked for had to take anywhere from 7-10 minutes to get. I even battled with writing a review as we didn’t bring this to a managers attention when we were there. We are completely dissatisfied in every sense of the word and probably one of the easiest tables to ever have, as we had been in the service industry for many...
